Turn him into a flea pattern! The pattern is below the read more
Flea pattern:
Notes:
1/4 seam allowance included without
dashed lines are (approximate) seam allowance lines, dotted lines are top stitching lines
I used 5mm safety eyes
Cutting instructions:
cut out one of the belly pattern, two of the side pattern (one reversed)
top stitch the dotted lines on the flea sides
put the flea sides right side together, and sew from A to B over the top of the flea (do not sew the legs at this step)
put the flea sides on top of the flea belly, line up the legs, and pin or clip well to hold it in place
use the opening for turning as a starting point, and sew around the outer edges. Important: USE A SCANT 1/4" WHERE THE LEGS MEET THE BODY. If you don't it will be very difficult to turn right side out.
Trim the seam allowance, especially on the corners and on the legs, then turn right side out (a hemostat helps when turning the legs out)
top stitch to separate the legs from the body (before doing this you can add stuffing or polypellets to the legs, but I didn't)
Add the safety eyes (or embroider eyes, or applique eyes) to the face section
Add stuffing or polypellets, then sew closed the opening for turning, and your flea is complete! Enjoy!!!
