you know the drill, everyone !! suit up and get your game faces on, it’s time for another capture the flag match !! no hair pulling, no killing, and no wimping out. don’t do anything your parents wouldn’t do — it’s a pretty low bar, so you better not trip over it. that being said, let the games begin !!
as the sun sets, chiron blows his whistle and the game starts !! it’s far less eventful than some, but it still proves to be just as high-energy as ever. in one of the tightest matches of the summer, team two barely squeaks ahead with the victory. aside from a small forest fire “accidentally” created by an unnamed culprit, the evening goes off without incident. a few minor bumps and bruises, and only two campers sent to the infirmary this time !! all in all, a success. a bonus for the ares cabin: chiron names charlie moore the mvp of the game. once more, some of the more seasoned campers wonder if there’s something they’re not being told, but they try not to let that show in front of the youths.
and so ends another capture the flag drop !! as always, feel free to write anything leading up to, during, or soon after the game. only use #fleece.starter for open starters, and be sure to reply to plenty of your fellow demigods !!
disclaimer: the mvp and winning team were chosen separately by a number generator. teams were put together trying to make it as even a playing field as possible.
you wake, and almost immediately sense that something is different about camp. it’s quieter, almost, but you listen more closely and see that it has just taken on a different sound. the cause becomes clear as you exit your cabin to begin your daily routine. a table full of the hunters of artemis quickly becomes the center of attention as your fellow demigods trickle in for breakfast. nobody seems to have any answers, but one thing is clear: this isn’t some friendly check in — the hunters are stopping through on their way to deal with some threat. the tension is palpable when chiron introduces them for the sake of the newer campers, though he tries to present an air of peace and good tidings. to distract from the obvious, he declares tonight to be an impromptu capture the flag game — this time, campers vs. the hunters of artemis. anyone who’s been around long enough knows that the hunters win every time, but it’s not enough to quell the excitement that builds in the dining pavilion. the real reason for their visit still lingers in the back of the older campers’ minds, but everyone decides to give tonight their all.
as always, the campers lose. pretty horrifically. the hunters have now achieved a 59-game streak. they stay at camp for a couple more days, but are gone by the early morning hours on friday — with them, two new recruits. the general consensus around camp seems to be that there’s something going on, and that the demigods are being kept in the dark about it. the murmurs are enough that a war council meeting has been set for monday, but in the meantime, everyone is left to wonder: what’s next ??
alright guys !! here’s the next plot drop !! truthfully i couldn’t decide between a drop or an event, but it seemed like a drop would scoot things along faster. feel free to write about the hunters’ arrival, the match, or anything up through shortly after their departure. timeline-wise, we’re roughly wrapping up week three of the summer. but the fun is just beginning, and there’s a lot to do before anyone should even think about packing up !! the hunters of artemis are all npc’s, so feel free to write them if you so choose, keeping in mind their abilities and everything else about them. no special tag for this, just please remember to always be replying to each other. happy roleplaying !!
alright, brats !! suit up and say a prayer to your parents — it’s time for the first game of capture the flag of the summer !! for those of you that are new to us, the rules are simple: steal your opponent’s flag and cross the river with it to win. nobody’s sitting out and there is to be no killing or maiming. other than that — no holds barred !! the winning team gets bragging rights and we’ve decided to add a new incentive this year !! the MVP will get one night’s immunity to pull whatever pranks their greasy little heart desires. don’t screw it up, kids !! oh, and watch out for the forest monsters. they probably won’t kill you, but . . . better to be on guard.
and the demigods set off to strategize and prepare, as the game began at dusk. it started off the typical capture the flag game. the resident monsters of the forest ( a drakon, a few giant eagles and a couple gryphons ) were ready and raring to go. some of the veteran campers noticed a new monster had been added into the mix, and she didn’t seem friendly. a chimera began terrorizing the demigods as they battled each other. despite this, team one pulled out with a victory, and chiron named adam flynn the mvp of the game !! a stellar night for the hephaestus cabin, as a new camper — a twelve-year-old girl named eloise — was claimed by the god of war himself after she sent a giant eagle flying halfway across the forest. several campers went to the infirmary with minor injuries, and one thing was clear: that chimera confirmed that there was no such thing as a dull, easy summer at camp half-blood.
alright guys !! with this, you can begin wrapping up bonfire night threads. feel free to incorporate the days leading up to capture the flag, the game itself, or the aftermath into new ones !! as always, only use #fleece.starter for open starters, and be sure to reply to plenty of others !!
