lumbar hyperlordosis
Fleisch (Berserk, 40k words, 7/12-ish chapters) Golden Age FF: Griffith has feelings, Guts has them, too, and both are too stupid to talk like humans. Their bodies might be more honest. Also, lots of politics and fighting in later chapters. I mean it, I really spend time on setup and OCs nobody cared acout before :>
Don’t do anything stupid now. Griffith wasn’t sure whether he meant himself or Guts. He would readily have believed the swordsman capable of going into the tent, flopping motionless onto his mattress and proceeding to sleep off his intoxication. Griffith wouldn’t even know whether to blame it on restraint or, after all, Guts’s complete disinterest in him.
Although his captain was usually straightforward and easy to read, his reactions towards Griffith regularly left him full of questions. Sometimes he was convinced that he had the warrior completely under his thumb … and sometimes he had the feeling that Guts saw him merely as a temporary stopover and would vanish if Griffith were to close his eyes carelessly once too often. It changed with every conversation and every cursed interaction, and it fascinated him just as much as it unsettled and annoyed him.
Today, however, he didn’t want to be fascinated, and certainly not annoyed. Griffith needed a break. His head needed a break; the weakness he’d despised in himself just two weeks ago now seemed perfectly natural. I stumble, and he catches me. That’s how this game works. The problem, of course, was that he hadn’t yet taken the time to explain these rules to Guts. Chapter 7 on Ao3
»Fleisch« – 21. Juli ‘25
Pit Stop On The Road To Hell, Honeymoon Inside This Cheap Hotel: 1979's "Spare Parts," arriving in the wake of "And Soon The Darkness" and "Coma" while anticipating "The Vanishing" and "U Turn." Full of surprises and odd character turns, featuring a heroine who reminded me of Marilyn Burns in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre." I quite dug it.
