Pakistani businessman bags Four Seasons hotel in Toronto
Shahid Khan is a well-known name in the the world of sports, hotelling, business, and automotive industry. From being the CEO of Jacksonville Jaguars of the National Football League and legendary Fulham Football Club to becoming the owner of Flex-N-Gate; Shahid Khan has conquered it all.
This time, Pakistani American, Shahid Khan has made his name internationally by taking the possession of Four Seasons Hotel, Toronto at the closing sale price of C$225 million.
It was previously owned by Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
While, expressing his gratitude to prince for granting him to buy the hotel, Khan said;
“I am also honored that His Royal Highness Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal has put his trust in me to accept the responsibility and privilege of caring for Four Seasons Hotel Toronto… Given his ownership stake in the management company Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, I am happy that HRH Prince Alwaleed continues to play an integral role in the company’s global presence. I look forward to working in close partnership with Four Seasons.”
Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts is the world’s biggest chain of hotels across the globe. It has about 47.5 percent shares of Bill Gates, 47.5 percent shares of Prince Alwaleed and 5 percent shares of Isadore Sharp (founder).
“My admiration and respect for the Four Seasons brand is deep and immense, and the importance and prestige associated with Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is something that I fully appreciate and, in fact, inspired me to explore whether this dream had the potential of becoming a reality,” Khan further said.
