Woah, uh... you didn't. But you've captured my interest...
So back right after high school, me and a couple of the guys decided we wanted to do a big hike together before we said our goodbyes to each other. So we headed up to Northern Canada with our backpacks in tow and a tour guide who would accompany us for a few days of our hike, then meet us back at base camp after three more days.
Everything went great, the first few days, but after our guide left us, all hell broke loose.
It started hailing so bad one day, and it was so cold. The ground was slippery beneath us, cliffs hung off only a few feet behind us. Whole thing was straight of of Man VS Wild: Return of the Bears. We decided to stop and wait out the weather, but see, Jacob’s shoes were old, the rubber all worn out, and we hadn’t thought to pack spikes or nothing. So when we went to sit down, he slipped, grabbed onto me, and we both fell into a ravine. While it was hailing. So we were being pelted and nearly buried by this frozen bullshit.
Eventually the hail cleared up and two of our group mates went back to get help, but it was damn freezing in that ravine. My damn hand was caught under a big rock of ice, and I could feel frostbite creeping through my fingers. Thought it was the end for me and ol’ Jacob. Started raining cold and I nearly pissed myself in fear.
Anyways, several hours pass, my hands feeling real numb, and finally a ranger manages to throw us some equipment to get out of that ravine. Good guy, he was. Came prepared with a hammer to get my hand out and everything. Said if I were down there any longer, my digits woulda come off. They were so swollen and blue, man, I wish I got some pictures.
We did finish that hike, by the way, but a couple days later. Was well worth it.

THATS EVEN SADDER DUDE
Not as sad as the time I almost lost three fingers in the tundra. Did I ever tell you that story?
flexingdad replied to your post: My feet really hurt because I’m old so I don’t...
Lay down forever. I’ll do it with you a few houses over
Yes. And we’ll text each other about how great it is to never move.
