Yes, Their not appropriate
No, Their designs are fine as they are
They just need redesigns regardless
Happy Late anniversary Shining Time Station!
Sir Topham Hatt was in his office at Knapford station, getting ready to pack up and head for home when Romeo stepped in. The Fat Controller was surprised to see the teen still there at the station. Sir Topham Hatt grew concerned as Romeo peeked out the office window and looked around the room nervously, clutching his sports bag close. “Romeo, are you alright”? Sir Topham Hatt asked. The teen turned to the Fat Controller. “Hey Sir T, yeah, I’m fine, I guess. Is there any way I can talk to you in private? Somewhere away from the prying eyes and ears of everyone”? Romeo asked. “Certainly, is there something wrong”? Sir Topham Hatt asked concerned. “Well, let’s just say that it’s something you need to see in order to believe.” Romeo replied. Confused, but understanding, the Fat Controller led Romeo to the office hall and to a conference room at the farthest end of the hall. They entered the room with Sir Topham Hatt closing the door behind them. “So, it turns out that another kid from my realm is on Sodor and she’s currently missing.” Romeo said. “That’s horrible! We must find her at once! Do you happen to have any leads or clues to this girl’s whereabouts”? Sir Topham Hatt asked. “I don’t, but these guys do.” Romeo said as he unzipped his sports bag, revealing the Jukebox Band. “Woo whee! You really need to consider getting yourself a new pair of running shoes Romeo, your old ones stink worse than a skunk swimming in garbage.” Rex said as he crawled out of the bag, clenching his nose. “Thank goodness Didi found that air freshener, I don’t think I would have lasted another minute in there.” Grace said. Sir Topham Hatt looked on in shock and disbelief as the band of puppet people stepped out of Romeo’s sports bag and onto his desk. For a moment Romeo thought the Fat Controller was going to flip out, or at the very least faint. Instead, he quickly gathered himself together and straightened his tie and hat as JJ Silvers approached. “Hello there! You must be Sir Topham Hatt, I’m JJ Silvers, personal manager to the Stars and these people are the one and only, world famous Jukebox Band”! JJ said as he reached out to shake the Fat Controller's hand. “Well, hello there, Mr. Silver’s and Jukebox Band. What brings all of you to our little island”? Sir Topham Hatt asked. “As Romeo here just told you, there’s a girl from Shining Time City lost on Sodor. Her name is Holly and she helped us get here via Lady. We were originally trying to reach you Sir Topham Hatt, but we turned our backs away for a second and Holly wondered off onto this big silver tender engine to who knows where else on Sodor.” JJ explained. “A silver engine, you must mean Spencer. He’s the Duke and Duchess of Boxford’s private engine. Their hosting a holiday party at their summer home tonight, if Spencer is anywhere, it’s there.” Sir Topham Hatt said. “Gordon’s still at the platform all fired up and ready to go, we can head for D & D’s place right now.” Romeo said. “Let’s get going then, we need to get Holly back to the normal realm before the hospital staff and her parents see that she is missing.” Grace said. “We’re right behind you Grace, just as long as we don’t have to ride next to Romeo’s stinky running shoes.” Tito said. Romeo and the Jukebox band began to head for the office door when Didi noticed that JJ wasn’t following. “Come on JJ we need to find Holly, there’s no time to lose”! Didi said. “You guys go on without me, I need to talk to Sir Topham Hatt about the request Mr. Conductor asked us to fulfill.” The band manager replied. “Alright, we’ll meet you back here after we get Holly.” Didi said, a bit hesitant at leaving JJ behind. Once Romeo and the band left, JJ turned his attention back to the Fat Controller. “Something bad has happened to our very good friend Mr. Conductor. I don't know what, but he gave the band and me a final request and that is to warn you about the incoming danger to Sodor.” JJ said. “Danger? What danger”? Sir Topham Hatt asked fully alarmed and on edge. JJ began to go over the incoming threat to Sodor, Romeo wanted to be sneaky and listen in, but the teen knew his focus needed to be on bringing Holly home. The Jukebox band and Romeo loaded onto Gordon and sped off, heading for the Duke and Duchesses summer home.
It was late into the night when Holly and the Jukebox band reached the station. With Lady’s help Holly was able to get onto the platform safely. Lady had dropped off the group near Ulfstead castle. The Earl was getting the estate decorated for the holidays and had just finished the lights. They shone brilliantly, lighting up from the castle to all the way down to the dinosaur park. Holly was immediately enchanted; it really did feel like she was transported into a fairytale storybook. While Holly was admiring the landscape, JJ and the others were trying to figure out the current timetable and which train would take them to Sir Topham Hatt’s office at Knapford station. Tex and Rex were arguing with each other over which route would get them to their destination faster, Grace was keeping an eye out for danger, while Didi was reading a dropped newspaper, Titto found a Sodor coin, and JJ was reminiscing about something, though he kept whatever it was to himself. Grace was keeping an eye on Holly, making sure the girl was okay and staying close to the group. However, the bass guitarist turned her back for a moment to deal with the twin cowboys and that was enough for trouble to start. Holly was in awe as a big silver engine pulled up to the station. It was Spencer, the private engine had arrived to pick up a case of apple cider for the Duke and Duchess. Holly greeted the silver engine, and Spencer greeted her back. Spencer had never seen Holly around Sodor and asked the girl where she is from. Holly tells Spencer that she is from the countryside on the border of Shining Time City in the normal realm. Spencer recalled that Shining Time City is where Darius, Romeo, and Cleo were from and ask the girl if she knew the Trainyard Trio. Holly doesn’t know the siblings, but she hoped she can meet them.
To Spencer it looks like Holly is all by herself. Not wanting to leave the girl unattended, Spencer invites Holly to the Duke and Duchesses summer home for a winter party. Holly is thrilled and accepts Spencer’s invitation, but she lets the silver engine know that she needs to be back at this specific station before sunrise. Spencer agrees to bring Holly back and with the aid of his crew, Holly is loaded into Spencer’s cab. It is here that the Jukebox band notice what is going on. They immediately dash for the silver engine, trying to grab Holly’s attention, but it is too late. With a wheesh of steam, Spencer speeds off for the Duke and Duchess’s summer home. The band freaks out as they don’t know how to find Holly. Grace takes a moment to calm down, and once she does Grace suggest that they go to Knapford as originally planned and seek out Sir Topham Hatt to help find Holly. The band agrees and with their combined effort, they find a train that will be stopping at their current destination while on its way to Knapford. The band of puppets wait in hiding for the train to approach, when it makes a full stop, they make a break for the engine’s cabin and hide in the coal tender as they hear the engine’s crew approaching. Romeo steps into Gordon’s cab, he was looking forward to a hot cup of tea Patty had offered him once the teen and engine returned from the late- night express run. Gordon gives a big yawn, telling the teen he wants to head back to his berth as soon as possible, so he better take that tea to go. Romeo obliges and tells the big engine it shouldn’t be that much longer before they reach the sheds. The station master gives the signal for Gordon to leave and the two head out, unaware of their stowaway passengers.
It was late into the night at Shining Time Childrens Hospital. Hospital security were making their rounds on the outpatient floor. One guard was passing by a medical cart when they heard something clatter to the floor. This immediately drew the attention of the guard, who rushed over to investigate. They searched around the cart and only found a metal bedpan. Believing it was only the AC, the security guard moves on.
Little did the guard know, if they had checked inside the cart, the guard would’ve found some culprits.
One of the cart doors slowly cracked open, Tito peaked his head out and looked around. Titto tells his friends that the coast is clear and soon the entire Jukebox band stepped out.
The band are currently in the hospital’s children ward. A nurse is heading their way, so the band quickly dash beneath a hospital bed.
Grace still doesn’t understand why their manager, JJ Silvers has brought them here and how it will help them get to Sodor.
JJ explains that a child will more than likely not freak out at the appearance of the Jukebox band and would be more willing to help the band get to Sodor. Tex and Rex ask JJ if this could be considered kidnapping. JJ says that they just need to get to Sodor and have a quick chat with Sir Topham Hatt, the kid meanwhile can play and talk with the engines and when it's time to go JJ can just ask the Sandman to put the kid to sleep when they return to the normal realm and when the kid wakes up, they’ll think it was all a dream.
JJ waits for the band’s responses and criticisms, but none come. The band are giving terrified stares to something that is behind JJ. The manager turns around and sees a human starring right at them.
If JJ still had a heart it would've stopped. The Jukebox band ushers JJ front and center, this was his idea and he had to be the one to take charge when things got rough.
The human girl is the first to speak, she greets the puppets and tells them they don't need to be afraid of her. JJ in turn greets the girl back and introduces himself and the band. The girl introduces herself as Holly.
Holly ask JJ and the band what they are and why they are in the hospital. JJ tells Holly that they are magical puppets who are trying to get to a magical island called Sodor in order to save it from a great danger, but they need help getting to the island. Didi ask Holly why she is in the hospital. Holly explains that she had cancer, the poor girl had to be hospitalized and had to stay there for treatment, but as of the end of Summer Holly has been declared cancer free and will actually be returning home tomorrow.
The band congratulate Holly on her recovery. JJ ask Holly if she'd like to go to Sodor for a few hours to celebrate the girl's good news with their talking engine friends.
Holly is thrilled about going to Sodor and ask if the island is anything like the books in her favorite fairytale books. JJ tells Holly that Sodor has charming little towns and old castles along with railways as far as the eye can see. JJ tells Holly that she can meet and make friends with the sentient engines that inhabit the island.
Holly agrees to come and help the Jukebox band, though she worries if they'll be able to get back to the hospital before her parents come to pick her up. JJ and the others assure Holly that they'll do everything they can to return her to the Normal Realm before her parents arrive. Holly feels better about going.
Grace and Didi help get Holly ready while Titto looks for a safe exit. Tex and Rex provide distractions when needed.
With their help, Holly is able to wheel herself out of the hospital. In the cover of night Holly and the Jukebox band make their way to Shinning Time Station.
Holly is in awe of the place, but she is not able to admire the station for long as the magic engine Lady soon appears. Her coaches are to high for Holly's wheel chair, so the magic engine quickly conjures up a little ramp to help the girl get on.
Once Holly and the band are safely on, Lady quietly steams away from Shining Time.
People wonder why my music taste is so weird. It's because I was exposed to this show.
