(slight enhancement of contrast) THEORY:- Maybe E.T.'s use the infrared dimension to transport / hide in so as to be inconspicuous and travel through space time and distance.... to do this their physical size is reduced visually also as it passes to that dimension. This could explain as to why some are seen to "disappear" or "fade out" - they cloak to the infrared... frequency required.
