A weird intersection of my interests
IDK if anyone on Whumpblr plays Flight Rising, but I'm doing some coli grinding right now and y'all ever think about how there's a designated 'class' of whumpee dragons?
I mean, they're ALWAYS the first to die. They get the shit beat out of them time and time again, they build resilience while the trainer(s) do all the fighting.
And then, after finally reaching a point where they can tank a hit or two, having amassed a decent hoard, they're sent away to serve the lair's god - not necessarily even THEIR elemental connection.
Everyone probably interprets the specifics differently, but in my lair, those who spend time in the barracks(my fodder tab) are not very connected from the majority of the lair. They travel there with the intent to train for working under the Stormcatcher, so they know approximately what they're getting into, but I can imagine it'd be something like boot camp where many aren't prepared for just how grueling it is.
Just saying. Maybe we're underutilizing FR whump.
