hmm does anybody know of like a “30 days of lore prompts” thing but for flight rising? or like a list of prompt ideas??
Good luck wishes in different flights:
Wind
"May Windsinger bless your travels", "and may there be fair winds". This phrase is commonly used both inside the flight and outside by sailors, aviators, and just any dragon during their travels. There was also an older version of the phrase, where the response was "may there be fair winds under your wings", but it has fallen out of favor over the years.
Water
"I hope you lose your net", "and I hope you catch Tidelord's tail". This expression tends to confuse outsiders, but it is a genuine expression of good will. It stems from the (not unfounded!) belief that someone or something may overhear your talking about a good catch and decide to steal it. Fishermen first started wishing each other bad luck, and it spread to the rest of the water flight over time. In areas where Tidelord lost influence the response was corrupted to "and I hope you catch tides or tails", and most young dragons don't even know the original saying.
Plague
"Don't die until our battle". This one is much more intimate than others, usually reserved for loved ones, friends, and rivals. Switching to it from the usual wordless nod is not unlike a declaration of love.
Let's play a game!
Badly explain your lore! Via reblog~
Mine is if arcane's 51 happens to also double as an overpriced tourist trap.
what about Chirren ?
Chirren is this girl here!
Drawing I made very quickly of her so you have a grasp on her personality,
She’s one of my clan’s merchants, living in a place called The Shadow Market. As a merchant she collects various rare things including plants, pelts, magical objects and anything you could slap a high price on. Her large claws make it very easy for her to do so! She also can be paid to find something specific, although those commissions can be very price-y.
(in my lore)The Shadow Market is bordering on the river shared between shadow, earth and nature. I imagine it looks something like this! (Quick messy lineless style so don’t mind the lack of everything)
More under cut so I don’t destroy people’s dashboards
FINALLY
if you’re an fr blog please reblog this post so I can follow you please I’m dying
Especially if you post lore
the basic origin story in bullet points
- some of my dragons had their home burnt down by a fire
-they all sruggled through the forest for a good while
-the four horsemen of the apocalypse offered “help” to the dragons
-the dragons didnt have much choice but to accept cause if they didnt they would die
-the food they were fed was cursed
-the curse meant they were forced to travel as a circus
- as the circus traveled they left a subtle trail of starvation, war, death and sickness
-the circus was basically alive and continuously grew sometimes random tents would pop up on the circus land and they all just had to roll with it
-more dragons were cursed
-they were cursed two ways
-first sometimes they would just get a strong undeniable urge to join the circus
-second sometimes they ate food from the “central fire” (the same fire as from the start) and got cursed
- so basically the circus just travels and the dragons cant get out of it but they want to
Now entering in the ring: King Hayell
This mysterious stranger has been scented on the very outskirts of Kore's territory. The only cofirmed glimpse of him has been by Medley during her last trip out herb collecting. Adorned head to toe in jewels and expensive cloth, he is too well dressed to be any mere wanderer; and his ghostly presence sets the clan on edge. Parties have been sent out to confront him in an attempt to question his motives, but each one returned without a sighting.
Kore has called off the parties for the time being in order to focus on a more pressing matter; the death of an imperial clan member. Her passing has disrupted all other affairs. Due to the ever present risk of an emperor in a clan full of imperials, exstensive measures are taken to prevent such a horror. The next few weeks will be dedicated to ensuring the clan's health and that proper respect is paid to the deceased. Kore has decided that at the moment some outlander is the least of her concerns...
