Hey I know you've been super busy with the big cat stuff, but did you ever post write-ups from your Florida trip? I work at and frequent a couple of the zoos here and am always looking for other's opinions, especially ones as informed as yours. I searched the blog but didn't see anything :)

I didn’t, honestly, because I kept wanting to start with things that were relevant to the cat research and then of course got stuck on not being able to say what I wanted to without the cat research done first. I can try to come back to them soon!

@gallifreyburning this was a fad (meme? trend?) a few years back. There’s a ton of vids on YouTube of people doing this same concept but with rubix cubes, lyrics written on hands, etc. Its all pretty impressive

Oh, cool! I somehow completely missed that fad lol, or maybe I just blocked the memory of it. Those kids are young, and the coordination is super impressive.

Hey I sent u that ask in like December about Mario odyssey being worth it if u played like 300 hours, and I just saw u mention it in the tags and I just want to let you know I'm glad u got it and are enjoying it and are working hard towards those 300 hours

Hey I can't recommend anything quite like Portal and I haven't played Myst, but some games I've played that scratch a similar itch include Kentucky Route Zero (creepy atmospheric Appalachian narrative), The Flame in the Flood (great emergent story-telling, survival river travel w cute dog), Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons (super emotional puzzle/exploratory), and Dr. Langeskov, The Tiger, and the Terribly Cursed Emerald (weird and quick but fun). All are on pc for not much money, idk about console

(a few months ago I was finishing Obduction while listening to the finale of TAZ Balance, which was a peak podcast/gaming synergy for me, and I’ve been chasing that high ever since. Now that we’re coming to the finale of the current TAZ Amnesty arc, maybe I can recreate that golden moment lol)
