Oh, January. I always struggle to get back to drawing this time of year. The holiday season is a flurry of production and shows and order fulfillment and go, go, go. Any kind of daily practice I have the rest of the year goes right out the window. I am not that person who gets fidgety reading or watching movies or crafting or chilling. I am not itching to draw in those times. As much as I love the act of drawing, the more days that pass without it, the more fear creeps in. Fear of the blank page. Fear of not having any ideas. Doubts of all kinds great and small. I was giving this a lot of thought last night and had to make myself just start today. Just begin. And now? It feels good and right.
