flintspark (blue crying cat) believes he killed his mate, wasabi (red and purple cat) in an argument. overcome with grief and debilitating guilt, he sees praying to spiritclan as the only way for him to express his regret and receive forgiveness from wasabi. the cruel irony of it is that because he assisted flintspark in his plans to destroy summitclan, its unlikely spiritclan would have let wasabi in. crueler yet, wasabi was kittypet born and didn't believe in the validity of spiritclan to begin with, essentially rendering flintsparks prayers useless and more for his own solace if anything
