forgot to post this here - i've started a rewrite of fnaf sl to be more humanized because sister location is such an impactful story but doesn't dive into your emotions as much as it should for the circumstances

it also includes some of my headcanons and interpretations, but i'm attempting to keep it as canon aligned as possible despite this. its a fanfic after all

I should apologize to @rutbisbe for not posting these sooner. Part of the reason is that my computer and Tumblr barely get along and it’s already crashed once (THREE TIMES NOW!) as I tried to put this up. But I just gotta tell everyone the talent of this artist. These commissions I requested for my fanfic The InBetween was not only worth the money but made me so happy to see. GUYS, commission @rutbisbe if you want some fantastic art. While she’s great at VegeBul, she just has a way of making a scene come to life in all those little details. LIKE LOOK AT THE SCOUTERS, THE SCOUTERS HAVE MARKINGS ON THEM. She could’ve just slapped the scouters on and that was it but those little details!!!

New Bear the Torch out now!

"I thought it'd be more destroyed." Nora admitted, a few minutes along on their journey later, "You can hardly tell there was an outbreak here."

"Maybe the Augur cleaned it up?" Damian wondered.

"Is that something he can do?" Evelyn questioned, "If it all gets torn up and destroyed?"

"He's the Augur!" Damian replied proudly, "He can do anything!"

Nora rolled her eyes, "No, there's just a really passionate group of environmentalists that live in Torren that show up to events like this. They probably saw the outbreak and came in to help. They tend to do that, especially for big cult events."

Chapter 12 of Bear the Torch is out now!

"Good." Nora said before continuing, "Anyway, we're currently in the lower level of Suntouched City. Once you two got to the upper levels Pokemon Center, they teleported you down to the lower one using some psychic type Pokemon on staff. And that's how you got here."

"Hey Evelyn, are you okay?" Damian asked, "When you got surrounded, I saw the knife in her hands, and..." He trailed off, "That was probably a lot."

Evelyn subconsciously raised a hand to tap the part of her face that the knife was just above. The more she thought about it, the more she could see the details in the scene, her reflection in that knife Persephone held, and that very thought made her heart begin to race again.

She lowered her arm, "She didn't hit me." Evelyn reported quietly, "But..." Her arm moved to her forehead, "...I can still feel it a bit."

Nora looked away, "I'm sorry I wasn't there for you both. I... Sewaddle got launched across the room, and I got so worried about it, and..."

Chapter 11 of Bear the Torch is out now!

"Nora, Damian and Evelyn... It's nice to meet you!" Orion then asked, "So are you here to challenge me?"

Nora and Damian both nodded, while Evelyn stood in the back. She was tempted to shake her head no, but Orion spoke before she could.

"Two of you, huh? I bet we can do that!" Orion said, placing both hands on his hips.

"Who's we?" Nora asked, looking around the gym. "There's nobody else here."

"You'll see!" Orion said, jogging towards the arena. "Come on! Take your positions!"

As he did that, the trio turned to each other. "Evelyn, just find a spot in the stands and cheer us on, okay?" Damian said, "This is gonna be super fun! You'll love this!"

Bear the Torch Chapter 14 out now!

The building came up quicker than Evelyn expected. "We're here." Nora said.

"Here" was a rusted over fence that had been ripped to shreds. Behind it was was a building that almost looked like the lab in T Town that the lady who gave Evelyn her Pokemon was in, if that building had been worn down, had plants growing out of the sides, and looked reclaimed by nature while still looking relatively intact.

The sides looked like they could have been white at some point, but were now a muddy grey color in non-uniform streaks down the sides. The windows were shattered, the door tossed aside a few feet to the right. There were windmills relatively close to the building, but their white color had become equally stained, though the only difference is Evelyn could spot actual rust forming on those.

KEEP OUT and PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO TRESPASSING were plastered on large black signs that featured those words in bright red text, but even the red of the sign had faded in intensity enough that Evelyn had to squint to properly make it out.

"Interesting. Looks exactly like the kind of place I'd expect someone like a cultist to be hiding out in."

New Bear the Torch!

The car arrived at Suntouched City before long. The three got out, thanked the driver, and watched as he drove away to go pick up another passenger.

"Come on. Let's find the Pokemon Center and not stay out here too long." Nora said quietly, beckoning the two behind her with a wave of her hand. "Suntouched is a big city, so we don't want to... get involved in anything."

Evelyn had no idea what Nora meant by that, but opted to just trust her judgement on the matter.
