Instead of writing a backstory for your character, get another player to do it for you. Send it to your DM, but don’t bother to even read it yourself.
I love your blog. It's so incredibly specific!
Ah thank you!! I live for specifics ;)
Use one of those big wooden playgrounds as a battle map.
I saw your tag about not being happy with the use of the word bipolar. But in that case it just means that it is driven by forces at either end of the spectrum: ie the taxi industry is fuelled mostly by people who can't afford to drive, and rich people, its not being used in a joking way.
people tend to use the term bipolar in an inaccurate and often negative way (ie if they really mean unpredictable, moody, etc.) which is disrespectful to people who actually have bipolar disorder. in this case it was a little less objectionable since they were just trying to say ‘at two extremes’ or ‘at opposite ends’ or whatever, but nonetheless it seems like an unnecessary and rather disrespectful use of the word. idk maybe I’m being too sensitive but I see the word ‘bipolar’ get thrown around a lot by people who don’t seem to understand that it’s actually a mental illness and just think it sounds cool or something, which sucks, so.
edit: it’s been pointed out to me that ‘bipolar’ is actually a standard technical term in statistics (and chemistry and presumably other fields), so it’s clear to me now that that’s how the writer meant it and there’s no problem with that. learned something new today!
