flitwick’s office
flitwick’s office is a mess. walk inside looking for help (because flitwick is one of the teachers that actually has office hours (which change every week and are posted inside the charms classrooms) because he, according to his short speech on the first day of term, actually cares about the students’ success if they themselves are willing to put in the work) and the first thing you’ll notice is the ladders. the most commonly used objects are kept at a comfortable height of two to five feet, but due to his insistence on making the most of “vertical space”, flitwick’s office is filled from floor to ceiling by enormous shelves. the shelves are glass, so dont be surprised to see,, shady,, looking ~things~ every now and then. the incredible amount of shelves means one thing for the little professor- a truly ridiculous amount of ladders. yes, hes the charms teacher. and yes, he loves his subject. but there isnt really quite another feeling as youthful as being able to climb up the twentieth rung of a ladder, goddammit. so as a result, theres a disarray of stepstools, piles of books clearly having been stepped on, small ladders, big ladders, and a mini elevator-like glass box (like the kind window cleaners use).
