for me personally, the crux of Pierre and Charles as a pairing is their history together. if you are a fan of childhood-best-friends-to-lovers, Piarles is undoubtedly the ship for you! they have known each other for as long as they can remember - best friends from the start, and as a result their lives are interwoven. they went on holiday together as children, and their families are very close (tw, discussion of the passing of Charles' father and Anthoine).
more than that, they also grew up with a shared dream - a really unlikely shared dream that somehow, magically, came true! for both of them! and how much that seems to mean to both of them:
“I still remember these days watching Formal 1 for example with Charles in Monaco and watching Michael Schumacher and Alonso and Lewis. We were both young kids, looking at each other, wondering it might be one of us one day or maybe none of us. Who knows?”
also, they just seem to have so much fun together! the gang pointed out just what little shits they seem to be together: constantly gossiping and taking the piss out of each other and laughing. it looks like they have such a good, easy time together though Charles bby pls do not take investment advice from Pierre lmao.
one of my favourite things about them is also the sheer number of nicknames they seem to have for each other??? when I joined f1blr I just assumed that people had made these up and they'd become widespread in fandom but... like... they actually call each other these things lmao. Calamar. Charlo. Petit calamardo. they have both said that they don't really remember why they use the calamar nicknames, it's just something they did once and it stuck. the lore there! and apparently they have more that we aren't privy to. it's the inside jokes, the softness, the pet names. something about this to me is just adorable - again, goes back to their intertwined histories, their life together. makes me v emotional to be honest.
finally. they look so fucking good together, and the heart eyes are off the scale. i've put in some of my favourite pictures for you. :')

So, right here on your blog you have pics of Pierre posing and preening for the camera and then directly above that post is the most adorable pics of little Liam Lawson ever looking all nervous and cute and daunted with a backwards cap on!!! 😍 And it’s given me ideas… At first I was all omg, I totally have little brother vibes, Liam doing his best to copy and be just like his famous bro and then my mind went in a totally different direction about all the things Pierre could REALLY teach him and now I’m torn!! They could be cute. Or they could be cute…. X

I saw your list of wip’s and I’m just curious as to what makes you stop writing a fic? Do you consider them abandoned? Or do you have plans to eventually finish them all?

That's a great question! I fully intend to finish everything on my WIP list. I've never really abandoned a fic before, but if I did I imagine it would be because the drive/inspiration just isn't there anymore. Fingers crossed that doesn't happen though, as I think having something permanently incomplete in my folder would drive me barmy, haha! 🥰
