In Greece there is only one floating bridge, which is of Greek construction and has been connecting an island with the mainland for decades.

There are only 2 Greek islands that are connected by road to the rest of Greece, Evia and Lefkada. Those who have actually visited the second then know that the beautiful island located in the lonian Sea and in ancient times... was not an island, it has been connected by road with a "ship" bridge for more than 30 years.

The metal floating bridge that connects Lefkada at the "Castle" location with the rest of Greece is called "Agia Mavra" and was built following a decision by the prefectural council of the island, a decision approved in the Spring of 1985.
