Disperse of iceberg A68a could be catastrophic for the South Georgia island can result in marine & wildlife threat, also impact climate drastically.

The massive iceberg A68 is free-floating in the Atlantic Sea after breaking apart from the Larsen C Ice shelf in July 2017. It is drifting towards the sub-Antarctic island of South Georgia. In this unique and complex ecosystem of the island, a collision of this massive iceberg is prompting fears about the impact it could have on the island’s abundant wildlife.

So here's the overall event according to the information that we have. An iceberg from the Antarctic Ice Shelf drifted away in the year 2017. It has been in the open sea ever since. The iceberg named A68a is currently within a radius of 100 miles of the South Georgia island. A smaller iceberg named A68d along with a slightly larger A68e iceberg is closer to the island than their much bigger companion.
