Karnataka floods: 40 dead, 14 missing since August 1; over 580,000 rescued

The state disaster monitoring centre has also said that 5, 81,702 people have been evacuated from the flood-hit areas.

"Since 1st August 2019, 40 people have lost their lives, 14 people missing, 5,81,702 people evacuated, 1168 number of relief camps operational and 17 districts and 2028 villages affected," the KSNDMC informed.

 Yesterday, Union Home Minister Amit Shah embraced an aerial study of flood-affected areas of Karnataka. Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa briefed Shah about the rescue and relief activities, which are underway in the state and Belgaum district.

जयपुर, 30  जुलाई (जनसमा)। राजस्थान के कुछ इलाकों में बाढ़ के कारण गंभीर स्थिति बनी हुई है। बुरी तरह प्रभावित जिलों में 16 व्यक्तियों कीे मृत्यु होगई है। 6 हेलीकॉप्टर तथा सेना को अलर्ट रखा गया है।

राजस्थान के दक्षिण-पश्चिमी और पूर्वी भाग के कई इलाकों में लगातार वर्षा होरही है सामान्य जीवन प्रभावित हुआ है। जालौर, पाली, सिरोही, झालावाड़, बूंदी और कोटा में पिछले 24 घंटों के दौरान अच्छी बारिश हुई है।
