So, I've been listening to Nightwish for the past few days and I've come to a realization.

Yeah, Tarja's fucking awesome, but those who say Floor is shit and Nightwish's dead: open your fucking eyes and pull your heads out of your asses. Floor is incredibly awesome, has a damn powerful voice and it's still 'real Nightwish'. Stop being edgy.

Shudder Before the Beautiful little comment

just a quick note.

I listened to the second single of Nightwish's new album today. After Élain - which didn't really catch my attention -  I was a bit concerned about the new album, but yeah, no worries.

If Élain would get a 2 from me, Shudder Before the Beautiful is a solid and awestriking 9.something. That's how much I loved it :)

I got a sort of Oceanborn feeling from it at some parts for some reason, the whole recording/planning in the midst of wilderness was certainly the best environment insiration for this album. However I loved the guitar riff reminescencing Master Passion Greed. I thought 'Yeah that's Nightwish right there.' And I fucking ascended to outerspace at the choirs (had to repeat that part). And seriously, that little change of tone/note/whatever that Floor does at the final “We are shuddering” is like the final boom of awesomeness.
