“like a compass needle that points north, a man’s accusing finger always finds a woman. always”
i have a list of things about acosf that are unbelievably enraging, but nesta being punished for rhysand’s mistake, and cassian inflicting that punishment, is in my top three.
flopsand’s excuse for not telling feyre is to free her from stress, and yet he threatened to kill nesta for sharing information he had no right to withhold. i don’t know about you, but saying you’ll kill your pregnant wife’s sister is a pretty big stress factor.
now nesta’s having a panic attack, running around the streets of velaris, wrecked with guilt, and here comes cassian, swooping her up to take her to emerie’s shop in illyria so rhys doesn’t make good on his threat, right? wrong.
cass-the-ass takes nesta to the wilderness to hike, even after feyre told him to come back to velaris, (i can talk about how not a single member of the inner circle respects feyre as a friend or a high lady for ages, but let’s move on), and HERE’S THE KICKER, he considers it a punishment! he doesn’t acknowledge her beyond making sure she’s still behind him and making her climb mountains in harsh weather conditions, ALL WHILE FORCING HER TO CARRY THAT HEAVY ASS BACKPACK. and then this idiot is surprised when she finally breaks down??? kill me now.
