Montgomery Clift and Tallulah Bankhead starred together in the original Broadway production of Thornton Wilder's play, The Skin of Our Teeth, which opened on November 18, 1942. The play also featured Frederic March as George Antrobus and Florence Eldridge as Maggie Antrobus. Bankhead played Sabina, the family's maid and temptress, while Clift played Henry, the Antrobus' son. Bankhead earned critical acclaim for her portrayal of Sabina, while the 20-year-old Clift, was in the early stages of his career when he appeared in this production. The production was a critical and commercial success, winning the 1943 Pulitzer Prize for Drama.

The Greene Murder Case is a 1929 talking film produced and released by Paramount Pictures and based on the novel The Greene Murder Case. The novel had been published a year before this film was made. It stars William Powell in his second Philo Vance outing. Florence Eldridge and Jean Arthur costar.
