if music is language-blah blah blah then ta da language is music... LANGUAGE IS MUSIC?????? sure. we can change tempo or time signature from line to line we can change tone color or texture-think of an open trumpet compared to muted-now think of wa-wa trombone as a a closing aside.... this is not the 19th century(even tho most “popular” novels are still written that way) this is not the 19th century. our words could reflect what composers have learned about expression in these times. about the construction of expression perhaps....
