An interesting property we love about tulips is their ability to carry on growing when cut and put in water and will bend towards the light. This is why people often will notice tulips growing over the edge of their vases. It’s important to keep cutting their stems as they grow to help them last longer.
The Netherlands is still the world’s main producer of commercially sold tulips and if you have ever visited Holland the tulips fields are must to go and admire.
Reportedly there is over 3000 varieties of tulips who actually belong to the lily family.
Like most flowers, tulips can be available almost all year round however their main season is between March-May. You will find lots of different types of tulips available in our shop throughout the Spring. There’s nothing quite like bringing home a bunch of tulips for the house!
