“Sorry I think my explanation is very poor about my flower logo concept. They are all the same colour of the door, wood. It would be done like this except raised. h t t p s : / / i b b . c o / e t n 7 6 w. Shape is everything, no flower colours, and must be as simple as that, not intricate wood carving. I’ve tried tulips already and people are confusing it with crocus. Roses and peonies are getting mixed up too. I’m giving these in black and white drawings to 11 friends and will use if 8 identify the same flower, which only sunflower and lotus passed. The iris idea is great, I’m going to draw that up now, see if it works.”
Hey there!
Thanks for clearing things up, I’m sorry I got this wrong. But since colour isn’t the defining factor this immediately gets a lot easier. I’m glad we could at least find one other flower that works for your concept. Here are some more suggestions:
gloriosa
any type of protea
any type of orchid
amaryllis
primrose
magnolia
fuji mum
morning glory
strelitzia/bird of paradise
thistle
calla lily
spider lily
hydrangea
poinsettia
This list features some quite not so common flowers, so keep in mind when the reviews come back that people can only recognise what they know. Distinct shapes often come from those which aren’t so common. Knowing flowers comes with familiarity, which a lot of people don’t have. Working with flowers on a regular basis, or growing up around people who do usually helps a lot, or simply being passionate about them, but that’s not a given for the general public.
