👏 Dream what is their aspiration?
In high school, Gaara originally wanted to attend college to study natural or ecological science (long-term career goal undetermined). In some college AUs this is exactly what he does (often with a double major in business at the insistence of his father). However, in my main modern AU, Gaara does not make it to college.
In my main modern AU, in which Gaara struggles with substance abuse and lives with his brother, his lack of concrete long-term goals contributes to his inability to work himself out of his less-than-ideal situation. He’d like to get clean. He’d like to study the subjects mentioned above, but performs poorly in typical academic environments. If he does manage to get clean and save some money, he might consider first getting his own place, then enrolling in community college or online classes. He wouldn’t mind working in a lab somewhere doing research. As of now, though, no concrete goals other than stability.

Gaara’s legal occupational history consists of part-time work at a locally-owned plant nursery near his home. His illegal occupational history consists of assisting his brother with small-time marijuana distribution.
