Leave Today for Tomorrow | Lily & James
James stretched and got out of his bed. He had opted to take a nap after his first day of classes. Not that he needed it. His Monday afternoons were pretty relaxed since he managed to schedule two free periods back to back. Of course, this was meant to be times he spent studying and preparing Quidditch schedules, plays, and other team friendly activities. But, he wasn’t in the mood to bother with any of that this time. Tryouts were not going to happen until the weekend and he had left his study materials back home, so why not take a nap and enjoy rest while he was still able to?
He rubbed his eyes and rolled out of his bed. James pulled on the trousers he had discarded in lieu of comfort. He wondered how the day had gone for both of his siblings and his cousins. Fred had caught up with him before he had gone to nap so he was well aware how his day had gone, but they were nearly inseparable most of the time so that made sense. He took a glance at his watch and noticed that it was close to dinner, so people would be heading down to the dining hall. His own dorm was starting to do just that.
James made his way down to the common room to wait for Lily, assuming she would appear to head down to the dining hall sooner rather than later. He wanted to make sure to catch up with how her day went. They could both catch up to Albus later, if he was in the mood to be around James. If not he could get the update from Lily, she usually knew how he was doing. When he caught eye of her, he waved. “Lils! Over here!” He shouted above the ruckus of the common room. “Walk to dinner with me? I want to hear how my favorite sister’s day went.” He requested with a wide grin.
