Should I watch Shingeki no Kyojin? It looks cool!
YES, YOU SHOULD. It's really awesome and also sad and awful, which is how most great things are tbh. There are 18 episodes out so far, with seven more to come (the manga is still coming out monthly, so the current series won't cover all of it). It has this awesome opening song (and this one from 14 on).
Plot, you say? Well, I'm really tired, so here's Wikipedia's description (with spoilers for the first episode): "The story centers around the lives of Eren Yeager Jaeger, his adoptive sister Mikasa Ackerman, and their friend Armin Arlert, who live in a world where the remnants of the human population live inside cities surrounded by enormous walls due to the sudden appearance of the Titans, gigantic humanoid creatures who devour humans seemingly without reason. Their lives are changed forever after the appearance of a colossal Titan brings about the destruction of their home town and the death of Eren's mother, spurring them to enter the army to battle the Titans themselves."
And of course there's a bunch of other characters too, but personally I'm all about the main three. They're a really great trio of characters, some of them could easily fall into anime stereotypes, but they don't and they really care about each other, even if they have a hard time showing it sometimes. *cougherencough* It's not really character-driven though, not most of the time, so prepare for a lot of action and death and confusion. It's not perfect, of course, but no show is.
But yes, absolutely watch it! I usually download with torrents and from my experience, I prefer Horrible Subs. Here's the first ep. If you'd rather watch it streaming, you can watch it on CrunchyRoll here or probably a ton of other places if you just search. Let me know what you think!
