Spring Buns

Last summer I crocheted a couple of rainbow bunnies using this pattern, with Caron yarn and some rainbow gradient Loops and Threads from Michaels.

I gave one to my friend Jaimie, but the other I never quite finished. Of course as soon as I gave the bun to Jaimie the tail fell off. Embarrassing! My pompom making skills need some work, those little shits are so hard to make without a pompom maker.

And wouldn't you know it? I remembered that my cousins were coming in a weekend or two! I have two girl cousins and two boys cousins in this particular family so I have set about making appropriate gifts. The boys are both a few older than the girls and probably wont appreciate bunnies as much as they would a hat...

One bunny made and another in the works I flipped on the ole Netflix machine and hopped to it. I managed to watch all of the third season of Bob's Burgers this weekend. I think I'm ashamed of that, or super bummed out because now there isn't anymore left.

I think they turned out pretty well! 

And I finally finished the second rainbow bunny with it's cutesy tail! And a second, smaller one for the pink bunny.

Unfortunately, the pink bunny turned out smaller. I used the wrong hook size. Derp. I have also managed to screw up it's tail. I'll have to fix that.

Later though! For now I have two hats to make. I'm using this pattern and some more Loops and Threads Impeccable.

We've had super gross weather here in DC the past few days, but thankfully my nails are beautifully springy!

Revlon Top Speed really isn't the best nail polish for me. Even after two coats the coverage is a bit spotty. But it does the job, and the color is delicious.
