(Hmm… I see, so things constant among Floweys from different worlds would also be constant for Flowey clones. Well, that’s one piece of info about how the clones work that we know now. I would just conclude right now that the clones straight-up ARE alternate Floweys from another world, but that’s contradicted by the fact they all have 1HP, so it’s more complex than that. Plus, the clones turned into dust as opposed to turning into regular flowers, which implies that they’re not as physical as a real Flowey!)
(The idea they’re Floweys from another world could be argued to be hinted at from Flowey #2 mentioning “YOUR world’s Flowey”... but it could also just be him demonstrating knowledge of the fact other worlds exist that have Floweys. And there‘s still the obvious ways they’re not physically identical.)
(There’s more to be said about clone mechanics… but we probably won’t know much more anytime soon unless Gaster decides to do some tests on the dust or something.)
(But for now, what we have is some kind of magic that takes some kind of baseline Flowey knowledge, applies that to some magic-based lifeform, who then tries to convince everyone they’re the original version, and are well aware they’re not the actual one. This rules out a lot of possibilities right away.)

(What you've said so far is pretty much all I've established! Except, the clone didn't turn into dust. They just dissapeated into magic because they aren't real, and they only have 1HP because a form of all magic and no soul to hold it together doesn't sound stable.
(Where'd the magic come from? Let's say the clone machine took some from Flowey himself and returns once the clones die. By that logic, the clones do have some aspects of his memories and personality, but aren't entirely accurate because that would likely take more magic and the real Flowey could feel exhausted. I hope that makes sense! I just came up with this whole second part of the explanation now, lol.
