Virge not being good at summoning/shapeshifting because it's hard for his anxious mind to concentrate enough to make it happen, is an s-tier headcanon imo.
So lets make it analogical.
Logan isn't good at summoning/shapeshifting, either, because he gets too caught up in the logic behind it.
Roman can summon something imaginary, or something he's never seen before, with ease.
Logan has to spend hours researching what he wants to summon. Because if he can't picture it in his mind, if he doesn't understand the mechanics of how it works and why, then it never comes out right when he tries. Sometimes, nothing happens at all.
Neither of them are very good at connecting with the Imagination to make things happen (summoning objects, disappearing them, shapeshifting, etc).
Sometimes Logan can't utilize the Imagination because his mind gets too caught up in whether an imaginary being should be able to do this.
Sometimes Virge can't utlilize the Imagination because anxiety keeps him from being able to focus on the end goal.
So both of them have to rely on their wits when discussing things with Thomas and the other Sides. They're less visual, more verbal explanation.
And they can both feel pretty isolated from how easily Patton and Roman use the Imagination.
