Legend is a clingy man and is quick to take the chance for reunion cuddles.
"Shut the fuck up, yeah?" Legend's voice cuts from the bar and restaurant portion of the inn, to the left and past the archway.
You swallow hard, looking between Time and the archway.
Time hands you a key with a room number attached, "Go. I'll send him to meet you.*
The room calls your name with the promise of privacy for the impending reunion, no judge or curious stares. There is just the promise of Legend after a long, dreary nightmare of a week split from him and half the group.
You trudge up the stairs, each step feeling like a seperate to-do.
The room isn't far from the stairs on the second floor, and you let yourself in without fanfare.
Legend's bag is already in the corner, the bedsheets are messy, and the dresser holds his water skin.
He's already been here - which means there is truly no danger. He is always through in checking for signs of danger or tampering with things, searching for two way mirrors or anything else suspicious.
You shut the door, dropping your own bag beside Legends and stepping further into the room.
You let out a sigh, shoulders relaxing as you do so.
Light footsteps approach the door, their pace fast before the doorknob turns.
You turn to face the door as it opens, breath catching as Legend pushes through the doorway with searching eyes.
Legend shuts the door with his heel before he crosses the space between you and pulls you into his arms.
"Hi," you manage, wrapping your arms around him.
"You're okay, right?" He asks, leaning back enough to search your face.
"We'll fix that," Legend assures as he leans in again, pulling you as close as possible.
You return the embrace, melting against him as relief fills every bit of you that tension vacated.
He's warm as he also seems to melt into your hold.
You can faintly smell the apple and oak soap he uses, mixing with sun and dust. It's such a him smell that you can't help but soften as you inhale.
Legend is here, he's safe, and he's pulling you as close to him as he can.
"I missed you," you whisper into his neck, leaning to set your face against it.
"Yeah?" He prompts softly.
Legend hums, dropping a kiss against the side of your neck simply because it's closest to him. "I missed you too. Like - a lot."
The words are - everything. You're one of the only people's he willingly opens up to - which took it's own time and work of course - and it is always so rewarding to know he trusts you enough to be vulnerable.
The words are an admission of missing you, yes, but between the open admission and the tone, they are also a hidden declaration of love.
"I think there's time for a nap, if you want it," Legend offers without moving.
"And if I want you to nap with me?" You ask with a grin.
"Then I guess I'm taking a nap," he shrugs.
"Come on, let me take off my boots, and we can lay down."
Legend grumbles as he pulls away, but he kicks off his on boots.
After you are free from your boots and outerwear, your hand is grabbed, and he leads you to the bed with a crooked grin he tosses over his shoulder.
Legend pulls you both onto the bed, negotiating with the covers until you are both under the blanket.
An arm wraps around you, guiding you to lay beside him.
You end up on your back with Legend's cheek on your shoulder, nose brushing your collar bone as his arms wrap around your waist. Legs tangle together even as one arm lays around his back, holding him close. Your other hand plays with his hair, soaking in the moment.
"I will," you counter, closing your eyes.
