I was really excited about this custom project because it combines all the new skills I’ve learned these past two years - acrylic pouring, resin and metal leaf - with my old landscape work. . I didn’t go to art school; I have a background in forestry, with a bit of geology and soil science. I’m exploring the idea of these vertical landscapes, from space down through the earth’s crust. I’m calling this layered style #geodelandscapes. . This custom mixed media triptych is three 24” x 36” custom built birch panels, with @art_resin and @seppleaf copper leaf. I also tried some of the pigments from @just4youonlineuk. This design commission is on its way to Singapore. . This week I am heading out on an artist’s retreat by myself to finish my new benefit series for @leavenotracecenter.
