Incomplete...
And I’m not talking about The Backstreet Boys semi hit song. While this is probably the most depressing blog title I’ve written, let’s get it going. At the beginning of the game I was pretty hopeful. The Seahawks have just come off an AMAZING game. Last week’s game was truly one for the books. And then today happened. Perhaps it was the cold or maybe it was daylight savings, maybe it was the lack of Earl Thomas. But watching this week’s game compared to last week’s game, was kind of a surreal experience.
I don’t even know where to start. I normally say that with some idea of what I want to talk about, but not today. I literally haven’t the slightest clue where to start. Maybe the penalties. How? I can’t.
I missed Earl Thomas. There was something lacking on our defense… the force that is Earl Thomas. Thankfully Bobby Wagner came ready to play, and it was also nice to see Dwight Freeney there making some huge plays.
Jimmy Graham. As I said last week, more often than not Jimmy Graham is WIDE OPEN. I may or may not have called every pass to him (my couch coaching has really improved) … but then he dropped the ball, and I didn’t call that. I love Jimmy Graham. I do believe, they need to utilize him as I’ve said in the past but I also believe he needs to be more consistent.
When Eddie Lacy was running, he actually looked like he going to have a good game. Then he got hurt. Again, Thomas Rawls couldn’t do anything. And here we are where our quarterback leads in rushing yards. I don’t feel like that’s how it should be.
... … … … … … Blair Walsh. I was very hesitant when they brought him over from Minnesota. I’m still very hesitant about every single move he makes. I don’t… I mean… 1… but then 2… and then 3.
Boom for thought: PLAY CONSISTENTLY. I get you’re a second half team, but you’re not playing consistently. From passing, to getting sacked, to dropping easy catches. But get out there and play like you did last week this Thursday. You can turn this around.
This Week’s MVP (in my mind): Russell Wilson
