usually she wouldn’t make so much of a request but it was three in the morning (oh what glorious hours to be awake.) and her forehead was bedded with sweat. she had woken up from another nightmare, she didn’t know when they’d visit her and whatnot. tonight was one of those nights and sometimes she needed company other than her puppy. her puppy sensed that she was having one, already snuggling in her lap before placing its paws on top of her thigh. “m’nowhere. jus’ home.” her throat got caught, wanting to tell ian to just stay home. she didn’t want her involved, even with something so minuscule and not even real. she didn’t fight back though, nodding as if she knew that she was agreeing. her voice was gentle, less rough than it was in the day. it was the voice of a hyejung that was about to drown in a river.
“okay.”
