Worries would cloud her mind, the possibility of a future where she’d failed all too real. Somehow sleep had ended up being the furthest thing from her mind.

Every now and then sleep would take her but recently it had been more of a challenge than anything. ❝ --- A while. No more than a day. ❝ Or more. ❝ --- There’s a lot going on. I want to help. I would like to come along on the mission ❝ His concern isn’t lost and yet she’d rather prove useful than risk wasting time. There was too much at stake and so much on her mind.

𝐀𝐃𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐄     𝐋𝐀𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐇𝐄𝐒     𝐓𝐄𝐄𝐍𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐃     𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒     ⟿     the  hour  is  LATE,     &  the  exit  hatch  hisses  shut  out  of  his  line  of  sight.     BEN  knows  who  has  just  come  aboard  from  the  padding  of  feet  that  scurry  &  flank  down  the  corridor  of  the  FALCON.     POE’S  hustled  pattering  of  boots  lights  a  confidence  to  BEN’S  lankier  stance.     relief  courses  as  apprentice  takes  pause.     it  had  been  time  since  he’d  seen  his  most  cherished  ally;     his  oldest  friend.      BEN  considers  latching  onto  him  like  rathar  young,    holding  him  tight  enough  to  his  chest  to  remember  the  heartbeat  rhythm  once  this  was  over,     &  yet,     he  RESTRAINS  himself.     under  gaze  instead  comes  a  surprising  observation:     more  meat  &  muscle  peaks  beneath  shirt  sleeves  than  he  remembers,      a  thickness  to  POE’S  hair  too  ━━      but  that  was  besides  the  point!
