she  leans  into  his  touch,   settling  into  the  crook  of  his  arm  the  way  a  girl  would  to  her  boyfriend.    a  giggle  rises  in  her  throat,   fighting  to  spill  from  her  mouth,   but  she  bites  down  on  her  bottom  lip  to  stop  it.    a  grin  breaks  out  instead  as  adrenaline  flows  through  her  veins.    although  they  were  dumb  enough to  get  themselves  into  this  mess,   katherine  is  sure  they’ll  be  able  to  weasel  themselves  out  of  it   &   the consequences  they  might  face ...    right ?          ❝    italian’s  good.    i  can  totally do italian.    ❞          a  line  of  enthusiastic  nods  follow,   as  if  she’s  trying  to  convince  herself  of  the  fact.

it seems like an hour that dmitry has been staring at her. what he still thinks is an absolutely terrible idea hasn’t stopped anyone from forcing him onto the ice with the princess of the rink herself: KATHERINE PULITZER. truly, he thought vlad had more integrity than this but he hasn’t stopped talking about what a great opportunity this would be for them, for dmitry to finally make it back to the olympics. he knows his coach is right but that doesn’t keep him from scowling at katherine and her almost impeccable twizzles —— how annoying.       ❛ IMPRESSIVE. katherine is well aware of dmitry’s lack of enthusiasm   about the situation he’s found himself in;   the scowl on his face is so obvious that she can make it out even while she twizzles across the ice.   she knew he wouldn’t be happy about it,  but partnering with her was his only option to get back onto the olympic ice            he could at least be a little more appreciate of her willingness to partner with him despite his reputation.   for katherine it was a little different;   she wanted him as her partner  &  had actively pursued him.   he was the best,  after all,  and she wasn’t about to let their lack of a friendship stop her from getting the gold medal.      ❝             sure.   i’m done as soon as you’re done looking like you hate every moment of your life.   ❞

This is kinda different, I tried using only a certain color palette for this piece and I think it turned out really well! The style is a little different from normal too but I kinda like it??

holiday hiatus :  december 30th - january 2nd.
