Drone Lights Will Guide You Home
At first, this idea seems a bit crazy, but the more and more you think it over, it starts to make more sense. The concept behind Twinkle is to mix drone technologies with illumination to create the worlds most smart and useful street lights. I remember when drones first came out and then they developed into drones with cameras and you could find these for sale on Amazon or at Walmart, even drones for kids or beginners, which is pretty cool. However, Twinkle really takes the drone and gives it a true purpose. How it would work would be each individual street lamp would be made up of a vertical pole like they are now, but with multiple Twinkle drones docked on it. The lights would have powerful lights as the base, giving light to the area right beneath it, but when docked they just appear to be a regular street lamp. In the instance that a pedestrian passes underneath the lamp post, one of the Twinkle drones will leave its dock to follow the human around to light their path. This solution would mean there would be no dark and creepy alleyways or blind-spots for pedestrians, since they are literally being guided with light. If the Twinkle drones battery gets low it returns to the dock and sends a charged one on their way. Of course a floating street light is far from making the streets safe, but with its ability to move it does make it safer for pedestrians and they, in a sense, can patrol these areas that may not have light available. The Twinkle drone will help you get from place to place without you needing to rely on your phones flashlight. When it's done it returns to its dock changing back into just a regular street light.
