Yesterday I had a really great brainstorming meeting with an awesome new organic sauce brand, @freakflagfoods. They hooked me up with some of their product to cook with so tonight I decided to give it a whirl... This is my spin on the most popular flavor they sell, the Smoky Red Mustard. The flavor screamed red meat to me, but I wanted to make it a little more dialed into the dish as whole. So I spun some Miles Davis and mixed the Smoky Red Mustard with chili infused sesame oil, a little butter, diced shallot, and cream. Sautéed some onion and mushroom, a little sushi rice, and filet mignon. It was kind of an Asian meets Carne Asada dish. It was really freakin' good. Can't wait to cook with other sauces, Zesty Green Herb, and Kick'n Curry Mole. The kitchen should be a place to create, artistic, the studio, a delicious experiment... that's the philosophy I related to when learning about their brand, and I couldn't agree more. That's what we teach at @stageculinary... life is good, eat well... #doradthings #stageculinary #freakflagfoods #freakflagorganics #flyyourflag #freakflag #steak #homecooking #cook #sauce #saucy #hobbychef #learntocook #delicious #foodporn #mplsfoodie (at Nicollet Island) https://www.instagram.com/p/BtCfCUeFuaW/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=58y25x72gtwr
