Here are the fourth and final filming tasks for our Idolized event! For this task block, there are 4 tasks for points below the cut. Three of them are specific tasks for the show, while one is a normal self-para prompt. You are not required to complete all tasks (or any), so I encourage everyone to do only what they have muse for instead of draining themselves, especially due to the high number of tasks this time! The filming block has been extended by a week this time to cleanly wrap up the event and in consideration of the highest number of tasks in any filming block.
Reminder that task completions should be tagged only in the individual tag for this task block. Additional reminder that any tasks directly related to the show (all tasks for this task block except for the development self-para) completed after the deadline will not count for points.
Note: Completing these tasks is worth up to 8 points total on your points page. If you plan to complete the tasks, please post them by Sunday, June 3, at noon EDT (current time EDT can be found here) in the tag #fmdidolized4. Points may only be collected once the post is liked by the main to verify proper completion. If it doesn’t fulfill the requirements or is not posted in the task tag, it will not be verified. Any threads or self-paras that take place on camera should be tagged #fmdidolizedoncam. This includes the starter and subsequent replies for as long as they are on camera. Any interactions not appropriately tagged as such will not be considered as submitted for potential airing.
Task One. Filming Thread (2 points)
Prompt: During the idols’ time in Jeju (May 23 or May 24 through May 27 depending on the artist), idols will be on a fairly hectic schedule of events. Several will be filmed for the show but some will not be. The full schedule for the trip can be found below with all on-camera events marked accordingly. Your filming thread may take place during any of these on-camera times.
Full schedule of all days and hotel details can be found here.
The Hallyu Triple Fantasy Concert’s setlist can be once again found here.
The Portal Livestream Concert’s setlist can once again be found here.
Idols are encouraged to post on social media about the public events.
Requirements:
You may do as many threads (and self-paras) as you wish taking place during filming, but only one will count for points. The thread completed for points should be the one tagged under #fmdidolized4 and should fulfill the following:
The majority of the thread should take place on camera and be tagged accordingly.
The thread should consist of at least a starter and a reply from the original poster and two replies from the thread partner (a total of 4 posts, assuming two writers) by the deadline. You are highly encouraged to continue the thread past the deadline if you wish to!
Threads not for points may be off-camera and with whomever you wish.
Task Two. Self-cam - Thank you gift to fans (2 points)
Prompt: Your muse has been provided with a vlogging-style camera at some point during the trip where they may have down time (at the hotel, backstage before the concert, etc.) and given free rein to film a gift for their fans. To keep the sincerity of the gift, your muse is allowed to pick whatever way they feel best portrays their gratitude toward their fans, whether it be a song cover, a vlog of their time in Jeju, a sincere talk to the camera, a short clip of their aegyo, a mukbang, etc. No idol is guaranteed to have their video released and if the video filmed is controversial or reflects poorly on the idol, it will be scrapped and re-filmed at a later date. It’s encouraged for muns to use this task to explore your muse’s internal feelings about their fans and their external expression (or lack of external expression) of it.
Requirements:
This task should be completed as a self-para of 400+ words will not count toward your self-para limit for the month.
Task Three. Development Self-Para (2 points)
Prompt: Write a self-para of 400+ words about a developmental moment in your muse’s time as a trainee or idol. This moment can be something obviously crucial (their first day as a trainee, their debut stage, their solo debut stage, the first time they participated in their group’s creative process (if applicable), their win on a competition show, an injury, etc.), but should explore the themes of their life as an idol or trainee. Tying this into anything that has happened during Idolized filming is encouraged, but not required. If completed, this does not count toward any of your monthly limits for the month.
Requirements:
This task should be completed as a self-para of 400+ words will not count toward your self-para limit for the month.
Task Four. Interview (2 points)
Prompt: Your muse has been pulled aside on May 27, the day after all of the concerts, before leaving Jeju to film an overall reflective interview for Idolized. They will be pulled aside into a room which has been specially designated on their floor of the hotel and set up just like the normal rooms for talking head segments utilized during the show. Your muse will be asked the following questions by a producer (who is off-screen) and their answers will be filmed. They should answer in typical reality show format, including the question in their answer and answering as though no direct question was asked. The longer the answers and the more topics covered the better, since it allows more options for editors. All footage will be kept and will possibly be aired throughout the season. Idols are instructed to maintain a personal, but not overly negative attitude in their answers. Even if written in self-para format, this does not count toward any of your monthly limits for the month.
Questions
How were the concerts?
Which performance was your favorite to watch from the stage monitors backstage?
What city (outside of South Korea and Japan) do you hope you get to perform in next in a concert of this size?
What was your favorite part of being a part of Idolized?
With all the time spent with other idols during the show, did you make any new friends?
What do your fans mean to you?
What does being an idol/celebrity mean to you, both in definition and how it’s affected you as person?
What impact do you hope to have on your fans by the end of your career?
What is one thing you’d like to do or one achievement you’d like to obtain before the end of your career?
(optional question) Is there anything you wanted to say during the course of the show you didn’t get the chance to? Or do you have any final words as the show’s filming comes to a close?
chase me - vice | el manana - gorillaz | touch - nami
love lies - khalid & normani | rumor - element | ko ko bop - knight
whistle - femme fatale | touch - shura | paint me - diary
aqua vitae - tiger darrow | palette - lyra | i am not a robot - marina and the diamonds
Chase Me - Vice
It’s genuinely the song he’d listened to most in the past month. While he would have listened to it and supported the song regardless of quality because of Xiu, he found parts caught in his head at times, and considers it a great song.
El Manana - Gorillaz
This one’s an older favorite. Gorillaz is his favorite band outside of kpop and Demon Days was his favorite album. El Manana stuck out to him as a relaxing tune with the right kind of melancholy.
Touch - Nami
He’s a fan of Nami’s solo effort as a whole, but this song stuck out as a favorite. It’s catchy, sexy without being raunchy, and fun. He also happens to enjoy dancing to it, but that’s not a fact he’s likely to share.
Love Lies - Khalid & Normani
Normani is his Fifth Harmony member of choice, and he was hooked immediately by the showcase of her vocals, and ended up looking more into Khalid after his first few listens as well. He’s got heart eyes for both artists.
Rumor - Element
It’s his favorite song by the co-ed group thus far. The interesting vibe lends itself nicely to the vocal talents of all four members. He considers it a subtler dance song.
Ko Ko Bop - Knight
The chill vibe being offset by the electronic parts make the song an interesting listen, as far as Q is concerned. It’s also nice to dance to, and generally what he considers one of Knight’s best song.
Whistle - Femme Fatale
While he enjoyed Boombayah just as much, Q finds that Whistle is an easier listen when he’s not looking to party. It’s chill, while maintaining a a cool vibe and catering to the diverse voices of the members.
Touch - Shura
This song fits pretty much exactly what he’s looking for in his off time. An interesting vocal with an instrumental that stands alone just as well. The music video grabbed his attention initially, but he’s grown to like the song as its own beast.
Paint Me - Diary
He adores this song. In his opinion, it’s unquestionably Diary’s best. From the powerful vocals to the romantic lyrics and just the song as a package leave him wanting more similar.
Aqua Vitae - Tiger Darrow
The lyrics appealed to his romantic side, and the slight sadness in the singer’s voice left his heart hurting for her long after the song was over. He finds her voice sweet but strong, and interesting as a whole, which helped the song last the test of time in his personal playlists.
Palette - Lyra
A basic choice? Perhaps, but he’d be lying if he said it wasn’t among his favorites. The hook became something of a mantra for him when the song was first released. I got this, I’m truly fine was conveniently easier to get away with saying than don’t don’t don’t don’t.
I Am Not A Robot - Marina and the Diamonds
First and foremost, the song was added as a joke. Due to his stiff demeanor and habit of speaking almost exclusively when spoken to, especially around Charm’s debut, some fans took to calling him rQdQ and Q-bot among other such themed names on internet forums, and it’s a poke at that. He also just likes the song in general, finding it meaningful and enjoying Marina’s style.
Here are the third filming tasks for our Idolized event! For this task block, there are two tasks for points below the cut. They are both specific tasks for the show this time. You are not required to complete all tasks (or any), so I encourage everyone to do only what they have muse for instead of draining themselves!
Reminder that task completions should be tagged only in the individual tag for this task block. Additional reminder that any tasks directly related to the show (so far, anything other than the flashback audition prompt from task block one) completed after the deadline will not count for points.
Note: Completing these tasks is worth up to 4 points total on your points page. If you plan to complete the tasks, please post them by Sunday, May 13, at noon EDT (current time EDT can be found here) in the tag #fmdidolized3.
Prompt: The next two weeks will involve the most rehearsal for the upcoming concert within the individual companies. There will be an all-day, all-companies full rehearsal that will be the major filming event of this filming block on May 10. The schedule for the day is as follows:

12:30AM: Rehearsal ends, artists may go home.
Rehearsals will take place at a venue in Seoul with a similar size and layout to the venue that will be used in Jeju (Jeju Stadium). All artists must be backstage while rehearsal is running if they are not on stage. Each group will get their own dressing/waiting room and each soloist will get their own, smaller room.
diet mention tw // Cameras will be around backstage and there will also be cameras filming the stage for rehearsal footage. Lunch and dinner will be provided in a backstage catering room, and the food selection will be healthy and diet-friendly.
Idols are not allowed to post on social media about the rehearsals or upload pictures of rehearsal.
The concert’s setlist can be found here.
Requirements:
You may do as many threads (and self-paras) as you wish taking place during your the rehearsal, but only one will count for points. The thread completed for points should be the one tagged under #fmdidolized3 and should fulfill the following:
The majority of the thread should take place on camera and be tagged accordingly.
The thread should consist of at least a starter and a reply from the original poster and two replies from the thread partner (a total of 4 posts, assuming two writers) by the deadline. You are highly encouraged to continue the thread past the deadline if you wish to!
Threads not for points may be off-camera and with whomever you wish.
Task Two. Interview (2 points)
Prompt: Your muse has been pulled aside sometime during concert rehearsal to film a reflective interview for this filming period of Idolized. They will be pulled aside into a room which has been specially designated in the rehearsal venue and set up just like the normal rooms for talking head segments utilized during the show.
Questions
How is rehearsal going?
What have you been doing when you’re not on stage?
If you’re participating in a special stage, how do you feel about that special stage? (If not applicable, please skip this question)
Are you excited for the songs you’re performing?
Have you found such a large, intensive rehearsal more constructive or frustrating?
This concert is much longer than most concerts you may have participated in. How do you plan to keep up energy for multiple performances and/or for performing at your point in the concert?
There will be many fans present at the concert who may be attending to see another artist. If you had to introduce your music to another artist’s fan, how would you describe it?
Additional Filming:
Below you can find additional filming occurring during this time period. Everyone is free to write threads or self-paras if they are included, but threads on these topics will not be worth points. Please remember, anything that takes place on camera should be tagged #fmdidolizedoncam.
There will be no additional filming of promoting/preparing artists this time around, but there will be additional rehearsals for the special live stream Portal concert held while all artists are in Jeju for the concert. It will include all songs released through Portal by the end of May and artists participating will be filmed practicing individually for solo songs or together for collab songs in their company practice rooms whenever it fits in their schedule. The setlist can be found here. Exact details of location/date/time of the live stream concert will be given during the next task block!
For songs that have lost an artist due to revamp or someone leaving, the remaining artist(s) may choose another muse(s) to perform the song during the live stream concert as a special guest as long as they can realistically do so (ex. a male rapper must be chosen for a male rap part, a female vocal must be chosen for a female vocal part). Please message the Exclusive blog through IM before the end of this task block with your chosen special guest if applicable for approval and confirmation. If you don’t choose anyone to fill any empty space, it will be assumed the spot is filled by an unnamed NPC.
Here’s everyone’s pre-task for our Idolized event! There are two tasks for points below the cut. One requires you to answer a series of questions in-character about expectations and feelings about the show which will happen in-character before any filming begins. The questions may be answered in para format or in dialogue-only format. The other involves making an in-character playlist.
I recommend everyone track the tag #fmdidolized, as all admin information and tasks pertaining to the event will be tagged there. There will also be individual tags for each task block and those individual tags are the only tags members themselves should utilize.
Note: Completing these tasks is worth four points total on your points page. If you plan to complete the tasks, please post them by Sunday, March 25, at noon EDT (current time EDT can be found here) in the tag #fmdidolizedpre. Points may only be collected once the post is liked by the main to verify proper completion. If it doesn’t fulfill the requirements or is not posted in the pre-task tag, it will not be verified.
Task One. Interview (2 points)
Prompt: Your muse has been given a thirty minute block in their schedule to film an interview for Idolized. They will be pulled aside into a room which has been specially designated in each company and set up for talking head segments utilized during the show. Your muse will be asked the following questions by one of their managers (who is off-screen) and their answers will be filmed.
Please note all artists will be considered as idols and addressed as such in the interview for the purposes of the show and in connection to their primarily idol-producing companies although some soloists may not be viewed as an idol by the general public. They may replace “idol” with “celebrity” in their answers if they wish.
What is life as an idol like? What are the hardships? What is rewarding?
How would you feel if your future child wanted to be an idol?
Do you think the words “artist” and “idol” mean the same thing?
Are there sides to you your fans don’t see?
What do you hope viewers will see through the airing of this show?
What do you hope you’ll get out of the experience of the show? Are there any other groups or idols you hope to get the chance to meet more through the show?
How do you feel about the upcoming Hallyu Triple Fantasy Concert in Jeju City?
Do you have any worries about being followed by cameras for the show?
Task Two. Playlist (2 points)
Prompt: Your muse has been instructed to submit a list of songs to their manager to be included in a series of public playlists curated by the artists participating in Idolized. This has been requested by the internationally-targeted streaming site the show will also be available on as marketing for the show to international fans in countries where Spotify is frequently used. This playlist will not count toward your monthly limit of playlists if completed. You are not required to include a link to an actual Spotify playlist, but you may if you wish. If this task is not completed, your muse will not have a playlist included in the series in-character.
Requirements:
The playlist should be ten to twenty songs (no more and no less) of the idol’s personal recommendations and should include at least one song from an artist under each of the three companies.
This playlist should explore the artist’s music taste (or the music taste matching the image they project).
Your post should include at least a 200 word description of why your muse chose the songs on the playlist or what the playlist says about their music taste and/or image.
The Hallyu Triple Fantasy Concert setlist has been updated to account for replacing dropped/revamped muses. Those who were added may make this an in-character switch or make it so that they were originally in that position, depending on what works best for you.
Here are the first filming tasks for our Idolized event! There will be four task blocks, so filming will take place over the next two months. Each episode will consist of filming of the artists currently promoting and preparing for promotions during the filming block to fulfill the documentary branding of the show, but the other half of the show will offer a “fun” filming, which will feature artists from each company coming together. This second segment will be edited as a fun present by the companies, although they will still very much be work for the idols involved.
For this task block, there are three tasks for points below the cut. Two are specific tasks for the show, while one is more of a character development task related to the themes of the show. You are not required to complete all tasks (or any), so I encourage everyone to do only what they have muse for instead of draining themselves!
Reminder that task completions should be tagged only in the individual tag for this task block.
Note: Completing these tasks is worth up to 5 points total on your points page. If you plan to complete the tasks, please post them by Sunday, April 8, at noon EDT (current time EDT can be found here) in the tag #fmdidolized1.
Prompt: The idols will be split up by sex for two overnight camping trips at Seoul Grand Park’s campsite, which has been made unavailable to the public for the filming days. The filming will be scheduled from 4PM to 8AM for each respective filming, but idols will be required to have their hair, makeup, and clothing styled for a “natural camping look” beforehand. The idols will arrive at the campsite by three buses (one for each company). Filming will begin on those buses before they all come together for the evening.
The trip will be treated as a bonding experience between the companies’ artists and they will be followed as they do various camping activities such as pitching their own tents, cooking food over a campfire, and various outdoor activities. A bonfire will be arranged once the sun has set where all of the artists will sit in a circle and be encouraged to talk and bond on camera. There will be three or four people to a tent and idols may choose with whom they share a tent. Each tent will be installed with a night vision camera. Pranking (as long as it doesn’t cause physical harm) is encouraged for entertaining footage. Water bottles, heaters, blankets, food, etc. will be available from managers and producers to avoid any sickness or injuries.
Idols are allowed to post on social media about the trip without specific spoilers to spread hype for the show as long as it follows social media contract rules. Photos and mentions of/with other idols on the same filming day are encouraged.
Female groups (including female members of Element) & female soloists: Filming overnight from April 2 to April 3.
Male groups (including male members of Element) & male soloists: Filming overnight from April 3 to April 4.
Requirements:
You may do as many threads (and self-paras) as you wish taking place during your muse’s filming, but only one will count for points. The thread completed for points should be the one tagged under #fmdidolized1 and should fulfill the following:
The thread should be with a muse from a different company from your muse.
The thread should consist of at least a starter and a reply from the original poster and two replies from the thread partner (a total of 4 posts) by the deadline. You are highly encouraged to continue the thread past the deadline if you wish to!
The majority of the thread should take place on camera.
Threads not for points may be off-camera and with whomever you wish from the other idols filming that day!
Note: If you want to post an open starter abour the camping filming, it will not count for a point since possible responders will be limited to only those filming on the same day.
Task Two. Development Self-Para (2 points)
Prompt: Write a self-para of 400+ words about your muse’s audition(s). This does not necessarily have to be the company they are currently under, and can encompass multiple auditions if they auditioned for multiple companies. Maybe they attended an open audition with multiple rounds or maybe the were scouted to submit a video audition, or maybe they were streetcasted for a private audition, but all muses would have had to undergo an audition for their respective companies, even if they were practically guaranteed a spot. This does not necessarily have to be their audition itself, and may also take place before or after their audition as long as their feelings surrounding it are addressed. If completed, this does not count toward any of your monthly limits for the month.
Task Three. Interview (1 point)
Prompt: Your muse has been given a twenty minute block in their schedule at some point after the camping trip to film a reflective interview for this filming period of Idolized. They will be pulled aside into a room which has been specially designated in each company and set up for talking head segments utilized during the show. Your muse will be asked the following questions by one of their managers (who is off-screen) and their answers will be filmed.
Questions
When you auditioned for your company, what was that like?
How long were you a trainee?
What is your current schedule like?
What does your average day look like when you’re promoting or preparing for a release? What does it look like when you’re on a break? (Replacement questions for muses who have yet to debut or have only recently debuted: How does your schedule look different preparing for debut or during debut promotions compared to your schedule as a trainee?)
Talk about your experience during the camping trip.
Additional Filming:
Below you can find additional filming occurring during this time period. Everyone is free to write threads or self-paras if they are included, but threads on these topics will not be worth points. Please remember, anything that takes place on camera should be tagged #fmdidolizedoncam.
Promoting artists (Nami, Dimensions Soloist 4, Jaewon & Soo, DIARY, Alien, Impulse, 7ROPHY, Mia, Lip Gloss, Femme Fatale, Trevor) will have filming in their waiting rooms at music shows, as well as during rehearsals at their companies, and potentially events like fan signs.
Artists preparing for a confirmed comeback (Rene, White Knight, Aria, Unity, Gold Star Soloist 3, MARS) will be filmed briefly in the studio and during comeback preparations in practice rooms, during any photo shoots, and at the salon, if applicable.
good thing- unity/ are u there– mura masa/ growl - knight / no f.u.n – charm/ adrenaline – myname/ dynamite - mars/ not today - origin/ stay with me - oliver cai and vivi/ where u at? – nu’est w/ run- origin/ jelly - hotshot/ never better– raleigh ritchie/ young wings - stray kids/ can you feel it – timomatic/ view- decipher/ one time comin; – yg/ hymn – kesha
Tommy’s playlist always holds a variety of music, it normally shows how he feels at that moment and what he can use to dance to in any practice room. Often when he’s not in the practice room; he is often searching for material so he can make original choreography to songs. Often he tries to stray away from the normal kpop songs due to their own choreography; however with songs like growl by decipher and dynamite by mars - he feels like he can use different styles of dancing to incorporate into the song.
Though he does listen to kpop a fair amount; Tommy often looks into some songs and artists which aren’t as popular as the likes of Justin Beiber and Ed Sheeran. He will admit that there are songs by those popular artists which he likes; but often when he dances, he feels more of a connection with lesser known songs in the western music industry.
Generally his music has a pop element to it; however some songs are ballads which he often likes to calm his nerves and stress by dancing contemporary style; his movements to the slower songs relax him into a state of zen. Usually with his song choice, people can see how he is feeling b the way he dances.
[ARTICLE] BC, DIMENSIONS, AND GOLD STAR ANNOUNCE JOINT DOCUMENTARY TV SHOW
Early on March 10, 2018, PR teams for BC Entertainment, Dimensions Entertainment, and Gold Star Media simultaneously released press releases announcing a new television show Idolized to begin airing soon. According to the press releases, Idolized will be a documentary-style show following the groups and soloists of three of the country’s biggest entertainment companies.
Headed by one of South Korea’s most successful reality-style show producers and with the full support of all three companies, Idolized will follow idols through individual, group, and company schedules, in a larger-scale, more ambitious approach to the reality shows idol groups have frequently released in the past.
The show will emphasize the hard work idols put in for their fans, as well as show the idols during a series of breaks and leisure activities that will reveal intra-company and inter-company friendships. The show will lead up to the also newly-announced second Hallyu Triple Fantasy Concert, this time taking place in Jeju City in May.
The show will be aired on Mnet and will also be available online the day after airing through streaming sites aimed at international fans.
ADMIN NOTES:
After a few months of it being mentioned in monthly schedules, the time has almost come for our next ongoing event after last summer’s We Got Married event! As stated above, the ongoing event will be another television show filming, but this time it will be in the style of a “documentary” show following all the idols.
While Idolized will be marketed as a real look into the life of these idols below the surface, it will be highly edited to present an image that reflects most positively on all companies involved, which means this will be a good opportunity to explore your muse’s on-camera image and personality and how it may contrast to their real personality. Idols catering best to the companies’ wishes while still showing a good variety personality will get the most airtime.
Participation is completely optional out-of-character, although all muses will be assumed to be present during filming in-character and if you don’t participate, your muse will simply get very little airtime. The main event will be conducted in two-week blocks during which tasks will be provided which can be completed for points and to establish the events of each episode. Points will be available for these tasks as usual.
The one-week long pre-task for the event will be posted next week with the regular two-week long tasks beginning after that. More information will come at that time.
