They Come and Go
It’s been a while since I last wrote or posted something that really meant a thing to me or simply felt; there was really nothing to say. Lately, however, I’ve been thinking on how there’s been people that has been part of my life and meant a great deal, and yet today it’s like if we’d never met before.
It’s heartbreaking to recall all the good moments, pass on memories and realize everything happened and somehow it’s no more. Still, on the other hand, I feel even more positive on my belief about the idea: “everything happens for a reason”, and it does!
This kind of stopped once I reached more of a balance; experienced new things and met new and great people; I felt like everything took place and was flowing towards the right direction. However, recently, I felt like the story was repeating all over; kind of a “deja vu” and started to see how these new people, that were already a huge deal to me, began to fade. New jobs, new dreams; NEW DIRECTIONS.
I’ve realized that all the amazing people that once I considered the greatest friends or even thought of it beyond a friendship, did contribute to something significant in my life and somehow led to what I’m today.
I guess what I want to say is that yes, everything does happen for a reason, but one has the power to change “that reason” and do something; don’t let go of people that still has time left to share and things to teach. Those are the type of people you want them to stick around; it’s true that people come and go, but should we really let go of the ones we care and care for us too? I don’t think so.
