Did I say 3 times Leon was a catboy? I miscounted. 6 times Leon was a catboy in official material (that I am aware of. There may be more. If you know of more, do share.). And at least in one of them, he wore the cat ears willingly. He put them on his own head of his own accord.

Once or twice is a joke, three times is marketing, four and onward is telling. He's probably looked in the mirror and went "meow" at least once.

There's also the cat in Destiny that's named after him.

(I'm not actually sure if the Asteria commemorative art is supposed to have him as a cat or something else. Close enough.)

Crestoria's translation choices are weird sometimes? Most of it is just spicing up the English script a bit so it's not as boring, and I don't have a problem with that, but sometimes they actually change stuff or make Leon seem even nastier than he already is, or reword the more obvious tsundere phrases so much that anyone who isn't already familiar enough with Leon or the tsundere archetype to hear it in the cadence of lines that are still voiced would probably not recognize the intent at all.

One that was changed, uh... Forgive me, I'm typing it by ear because I couldn't find Japanese subtitles.

Japanese: Stahn: おつかれ！俺は剣の姿にも結構なれたきたけど、リオンはもうなれたか？ リオン～くん～？俺の扱いにはもうなれた？ Leon: うるさい！気持ちの悪い呼び方するな！ Misella: リオン…誰と話ししてるの？ Leon: くっ…しまった…つい… Stahn: あぁ…リオンが黙ってられるようになるのは、まだまだ先か

Rough translation: Stahn: Good work! I've gotten used to [my] shape of a sword, but has Leon become used to it yet? Leon-kun~? Are you used to handling mine yet? Leon: Shut up! Don't call me that gross name! Misella: Leon... who are you talking to? Leon: Gh... Damn... I messed up... Stahn: Ahh... There's a long way to go before Leon can keep quiet, huh.

Localization: Stahn: Nicely done! Gotta say, I've gotten pretty used to being a sword. Have you gotten used to it, Leon? Well, Leon? Have you gotten used to swinging me around yet? Leon: Shut up! Stop with your creepy questions! Misella: Leon... Who are you talking to? Leon: Grr... Damn it! Look what you made me do! Stahn: Ah, I guess it'll take a little more time before you get used to staying quiet, huh?

Well, for one, obviously the localization turned it into Leon blaming Stahn. But also... am I alone in thinking this was... a little charged in the original Japanese script...? My grammar is bad, but like, the wording is definitely supposed to be that way, right? To make it seem like Stahn's (unintentionally?) saying some really dirty stuff? (I swear I've read the same lines in adult comics...) And that the actual punchline is that Leon is only objecting to the honorific. Am I wrong...? Do I just have shipping goggles glued to my ears eyes?

If I'm not wrong, it's weird that they changed it the way they did. Like yeah, they can't work with the honorific, so something had to change. But they simultaneously leaned into and away from the dirty angle by bringing attention to it with Leon's line, but they also un-dirtied Stahn's dialogue, so it doesn't make sense anymore. It doesn't really work.

(Also I put "unintentionally?" with a question mark because the christmas event had Stahn calling Leon l*wd to tease him, so... Crestoria!Stahn seems to be more aware of that kind of stuff than other iterations. So... this dialogue sounding dirty could be intentional on Stahn's end. And it's just... a common thing that Stahn does to him... (●´⌓`●) Stahn... regularly talks dirty to Leon...? In the official AU where they're (adopted) brothers...)

I.... even though it's still literally just dialogue in an official game, I don't think I can use general tags with this even if I removed all of my own chatter...

I forgot that the Crestoria Christmas event had Stahn and Leon encounter Milla and basically go "Hot damn" "Yeah"

Happy いい兄さんの日 here's your reminder that Stahn was kinda Leon's big brother in one game and then he made it weird in that one quest clear dialogue

I guess Leon wearing the same clothes in Crestoria could count toward him liking them. But also maybe they were suggested to him by some staff or something after leaving to become a knight. Or maybe Lilith made them as a going away present. It'd be nice to know what he wore as a kid there, along with the circumstances that led him to live with the Ailerons. Did he come from a well off family originally? Was he able to bring more than the clothes on his back? Even if he was, I doubt they would have fit for long. So he probably wore commoner clothes most of the time until he left. But what did he LIKE!!! UGH!!

Not even top of the list of weird things. I personally think that getting so lost that he casually bends time and space to make a sidequest canon is way weirder.

Really why wouldn't Leon bathe with sword!Stahn in Crestoria

He already did that with Chaltier, and with them being adoptive siblings in that universe, they probably bathed together as kids.
