what the winters endured in DULVEY was a special sort of nightmare that few could ever hope to understand. after that, after everything that happened, of course ethan just wanted to go home. to return to a normal he still seems to believe is possible. or maybe it’s just delusion masquerading as dogged hope. either way, as much as chris wishes he could indulge them in their one and only wish, he can’t. there is no more normal, no more safe in the world for the two of them anymore.
