( what’s up, doc? ) ✾ jih + myg
he’d looked everywhere. his dresser, his desk, every one of his drawers—hell, even the shoe cabinet—but no dice. his earphones were nowhere to be found. “what gives,” he yelled into the empty apartment. plus side of living alone: getting to act like a total nutjob without fear of judgment. yoongi had had his fair share of external monologue and what the fuck moments in good old 703; it was a wonder he managed to pass off as normal in the outside world—
yoongi snapped his fingers once the jolt of realization struck him. right. ilhoon-hyung’s place. yoongi had dropped off some food for him a few days ago and he distinctly remembered setting his earphones down on his table. he guessed he never picked them back up again. off to lemnos island it was.
because he was so responsible and the exact opposite of lazy, half a second later he showed up on the stairwell of his hyung’s apartment building. he couldn’t even be assed to make a proper entrance at the moment, so if he got held up again for breaking and entering then so be it. it took him some backtracking on the flights of stairs to figure out which floor he was on, but once he found the door marked “301,” he brought his fist down on it a couple of times and waited for a response. he waited for like, three minutes. what, was it make-yoongi’s-life-harder-than-it-already-was day? come on.
aaand another half second later he was inside the apartment. don’t get him wrong, he did have some semblance of consideration for other people’s privacy but it was ilhoon-hyung. he would probably bite yoongi’s head off for it, but if he wouldn’t answer the door, yoongi couldn’t be bothered to wait up for him. living room—empty. “hyung?” yoongi called out. “you hooome?” he asked the still air as he maneuvered his way to the dining table. bingo. his tangle of wires was soon in his grip.
