Plotting Potential: 

This kit is being born to one of the most controversial cats in the Court, the notorious Skinkthorn who is often criticized for his brutal, no nonsense ways. He is one of the most powerful magic users in the Court, and his trial is upcoming to decide on his fate since the new Council thinks something needs to be done about him. Whether or not he is expelled, this kit is going to be in the shadow of a considerable giant. 

Outside of that, this kit will also be grappling with the idea that they are, by birth, corrupted. There is a magic inherent to them that is… wrong, unknowable, and may have dangerous impacts on their life or others down the line. 

Traits: 

This kit is born of a regular cat and a wrong-thing or corrupted creature, meaning they themselves are technically corrupted.Ultimately, this means they have traits that are not very cat-like. They have a thin, seal-like pelt with flippers instead of paws and thin strings with little blobs attached reminiscences of seaweed bulbs. These are sensory organs. They are a fantastic swimmer and much prefer fish as a meal.

Adoptable: Brunswick

In-Character Relations: Havenshiver (mother - adopted)

Plotting Potential: Brunswick, Havenshiver's adopted son! He can go by any pronouns or have changed his name since Haven's supposed death. But he has found his way back to his mother's arms. Is it a joyful reunion? is it filled with angst? There's so much left to say.

Loose Backstory:

Raised in the Canadian wilds more as a soldier, a weapon than a cat - your formative years were spent cold like winter, like steel. Your only companions were your siblings and the cat that raised you - something less of a beast and more like a sword - something called the inevitable, someone called Invictus. And they loved you. They taught you how to play in the snow, and hunt and when you were cold, you rested against their scarred hide and gave you a name. Brunswick. You were taught to fight, of course you were, but it wasn't the only thing you knew. Some might have called this cruelty - to sharpen you into a blade while calling it love, others might have called this kindness - for you knew a happiness and family that others couldn't. Somebody loved you. not everyone can say that.

During a battle, your siblings slaughtered and your guardian, the inevitable, the invincible died as well - a wound so deep that the snow smoldered from its heat. And you ran from all you knew. Perhaps you briefly joined a clan, perhaps you found a different family, perhaps you never replaced the one you lost but eventually, you made your way to the court, to here.

And you saw them. The inevitable. The invincible. The cat that gave you a name, that loved you, that saved you, that perhaps had a hand in ruining you. Your mother. Alive and well.

Adoptable: Dulce (or Dulce de Leche)

AMAB trans molly, she/her 40-45 Moons Old (approx 4 years)

In-Character Relations: Snarl (uncle), Oatmeal (sister, past player that may return!)

Traits: (+) Very creative, Sociable | (=) A bit of a gossip, Photogenic | (-) Presumptuous, Impatient

Dulce was one of the cats in their litter with the most physical resemblance to their mother and in a way that molded them to aspire to be more like her. Still, Dulce turned out bolder, words not quite as subtle and playfully pliant. 

They are still easy to converse with, be assured they have plenty of stories to share of their own. 

Loose Backstory:

Dulce was born in Austin, Texas along with their many littermates. Their mother was a beloved housecat while their father was a stray cat who lived around the area. While they did get taken away from the city after getting adopted, it is very likely they would remember being visited by their father, Tiger, and his brother, Snarl, every few days.

Dulce was one of the first kittens in the litter to be adopted due to their looks and their easy-going nature around people. Adopter is free to come up with details about their home after adoption, but the two main things are that they were raised in an environment without human children and that Dulce was a social media cat, often put in fun outfits for pictures. Did they enjoy that or not? That is up to you! 

One of Dulce's littermates, Junebug, was adopted by a family who lives in the same neighborhood. I 100% encourage people who adopt those two to work out the intricacies of their relationship before they arrive at the court. However one thing that needs to happen is that Junebug was the one to convince Dulce of leaving on the journey to find the Court.

Adoptable: Strange Chick

*Name can be changed/given

Gender/Pronouns open 0-3 Moons Old, can optionally operate on chicken growth timescale and age quickly so a player will have a nearly adult character as soon as they’d like.

In-Character Relations: Bumblefoot was trying to hatch a few eggs given to her by the Huntress… one of them wasn’t a full chicken? Although she loosely tends to this creature, this seems to be a baby that the Court is going to have to raise as a group.

Traits: Open to adopter. This is a creature of mysterious origin that hatched from a chicken egg and is being raised communally by the Court.

Adoptable: Ezra

Male, he/him ~12 Moons Old, should be the same age as Florentine.

In-Character Relations: Ducky (mother), Grizzlyheart (deceased - parent), Florentine (sister), Nightingale (sibling)

Brief Summary: 

Ezra is a confident young cat with a heart just about as big and golden as his coat- just as warm to boot! Despite his good intentions, the short sight of youth and a little too much confidence and naïveté make him a touch too trusting, and bold where he ought to have been a little more cautious with his tongue.

Long fascinated with the menagerie the members of the court have been keeping (to mixed success) he’s been a familiar face around the local farmsteads, haranguing the livestock in an attempt to figure out just how those twoleg dogs manage to do it… It’s a bit of a respite, too. He and his littermates are different from other cats, but the court is full of faces that are different too. 

Now that he’s old enough to understand what became of his mother Grizzlyheart (died during a corruption initiated by Cenzo), the legacy of her life, and the pattern her death was apart of, have begin to hang over his head like the sword of Damocles… life was a little simpler when all he wanted was to ask Miss Cinders to weave his little family a blanket out of wool he got himself, wasn’t it?

Adoptable: Wayfinder

Gender/Pronouns open 6-13 Moons Old, should be the same age as other siblings.

In-Character Relations: Lightning (mother), Aphelion (formerly Storm - parent), Petrichor (sibling), Hopeful (sibling)

Traits: head in the clouds kinda, quiet and wistful, big imagination. very curious but also very cautious..... Intelligent. Seems to be lost in thought very often, just staring off into nothingness .... probably has a very good memory and/or very good at direction.

History: Only just recently born! Very open in terms of this.
