The Fury of Polyphemus Against Odysseus
I was terrified when I heard that I had landed on the island of Cyclops. These terrible monsters were feared throughout the lands and surrounding islands. We had entered a massive cave that had animals, food, wine my men and I came across a horrible smelling Cyclops named Polyphemus. He stood huge and towering over us as he talked to us about our ship. I knew i had to be quick to lie or be stuck on this island forever with the beast and monster. But then rather quickly he gobbled up two of my men, my friends. That’s when I knew we were trapped inside these cave with the monster Cyclops Polyphemus. When morning came Polyphemus ate two more men worried i had to think of a plan to escape the island. In order to escape, I took a giant wooden spike and hardened the spike with fire. I then drove the spike into the Cyclop’s eye, blinding him. Then I tied my men to the underneath of the sheep and climbed on the biggest sheep. We had escaped to our ship and I started tuanting the beast as he threw rocks at our ship, but he missed. As we escaped I heard him pray to his father which foreshadowed bad fortune in our future. I felt that there was dark future ahead of us because of these misfortune.
