"Roderick, look out!"
Roderick didn't have time to move out of the way before the tree fell on top of him. Kevin screamed and ran over. "Roderick!! Oh god!!"
"Nng... K-Kev, don't worry." He coughed. "It's okay. Just go get help."
Even though he was shaking, Kevin nodded and ran. He hoped the park ranger would come soon.
It was getting a bit hard to breathe. He chocked it to the tree that was pressing on his chest. He closed his eyes. What a day...
Soon enough, the cavalry arrived. The rescue crew got the tree off him and the medical examined him. There was a large, ugly bruise on his chest. His breathing was shallow. Despite that, he managed to reach out and take Kevin's hand.
