3D Poster for Typography 3 based on an architect's work. This was a student project. The event is a fabrication in order to call a cause for the design. French architect Jean Nouvel, (Born August 12 th, 1945 – Present) is well known for his work all over the world. Some of his notable pieces include: Peirao XXI in Vigo, The Fondation Cartier, 100 Eleventh Avenue in Manhattan and The Louvre Abu Dhabi Museum.
Nouvel’s work is based around the principals of geometry and locale. Drawing from traditional ideas, Nouvel expands upon their inspiration and attempts to produce a contemporary adaptation that uses modern techniques to create a structure with geometric harmony and local flavor.
He sees and geometry in nature and utilizes it to its fullest. Many of his works feature natural elements such as light, water, rock formations, and foliage on, in, and around the final structure, whatever is most appropriate for the location.
Light is one of his most focused on aspects in his designs. Nouvel sees light as one of the most important parts of a room and uses techniques to create structures that disperse light and shadow in interesting ways.
