郷さくら美術館をご存知ですか？ 桜の作品を中心に収蔵している中目黒の美術館です。 桜の季節には目黒川沿いの桜並木の桜と、館内の桜の作品を鑑賞できる、まさに桜づくしのひと時が体験できます。
まだ郷さくら美術館が郡山にあった頃、オーナー様から「あなたの一番の桜を描いて下さい」と依頼され、十年以上の長い取材期間を貰って、やっと2020年に仕上げた作品です。 朝日から月、蕾から桜吹雪までを描いた畳8枚分ぐらいの大作の中で、朝日を含む桜の左隻が今回、縮小された版画となりました。
桜百景展vol.30 3/7〜5/14 郷さくら美術館にて大作をご高覧いただければと思います。

This is a ten-piece folding screen with embroideries of books and stationery. Paintings of books and stationery were in vogue in the late Joseon dynasty. In particular, King Jeongjo (1752-1800) ordered painters of the royal palace to paint depictions of books and stationery. Such paintings became popular not only among the royal family and aristocrats, but among commoners as well. The embroideries of each side of this folding screen contain books, containers, brush, ink paper and ink stone, among others.
