Painting Techniques - Acrylic
Using different techniques with acrylic paint to create 6xA5 paintings of my film stills and original pictures. These have been numbered to provide a brief explanation.
1 - Dry brush technique to paint the tires.
2 - Dragging the sponge to create circles and dabbing to create the shading.
3 - Flat wash of green and while still wet, scraped to reveal the white paper, detailing the branches and leaves.
4 - Thick acrylic paint then scraped to create the spikes and details.
5 - Dabbing sponge around with brown paint, then using green on top of bubble wrap, pressing down to create the circle patter. Then Used a dry brush to move thick paint to create the stools.
6 - Green and blue paint splodged onto paper, then using a rulers sharp edge I pulled and pushed it across and up and down the paper. Once dried, I used a dry brush and multiple colours to create the washing machine.
